English is my first language.
I took a couple years of French in high school, and I'm slowing learning Hebrew.

I think its my second, but it may be my third. Learned English when my parents went to Africa to do work there. But I also learned to speak Creole there. Dont remember which of the two I learned first (I was only 4 at the time, so I dont remember that much from back then), but I guess English. Have forgotten Creole by now, unfortunately.

Italian is my first language. I don't think I am good at English...so I don't know whether it is my third or fourth language.
What I am sure about is that I can speak Spanish as fluently as I speak Italian

You're quite good at writing it, actually. But don't worry too much about it; English is actually a pretty terrible language. ^_^

But where it is on the number ladder has nothing to do with your fluency in it, but whether it was the second or third you learned.

If you speak Spanish as fluently as you speak Italian, but you learned English before you learned Spanish, then English is your second language.

Can't brain. Has dumb.
My parents always spoke Dutch at home while I was growing up, but as I have always lived in an English soaking country, my English by far is better. My Dutch is about equivalent to a 14 year old native speaker. Not to bad, though, considering I've spent all of about 4 months there in total, across my 28 years of living...
