Is Fiction Possible?

Even such a consistency would be a reality.
It depends upon the underlying nature of reality, which one must assume is one thing or another. That's the nature of reality. You have to assume what it is or isn't, which leads to the possibility of contradictions in reality. One of our very annoying Mathematicians, Mr. Godel (umlat of the O), has proven that no logical system can prove its own consistency, which means that you cannot prove reality is consistent. You can only assume it.

What about the fiction known as a lie? Are lies possible?

I think you're chipping away at some deep stuff here regarding the nature of absolute truth.

I would argue that a lie can be made into a fact if one believes the lie and substantiates it with some action/behavior. But then again, was it really a lie in the first place?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Even assumptions are based in reality upon which reality in this case, happens to be the assumption by its own right. Whatever it happens to be.

I don't think anything can actually be free or "devoid" of reality itself.

An assumption is an assumption? Is that what you are saying there?

Which is a very practical assumption most of the time. We are assuming everything works together in concert with no little goblins turning wheels and doing magic.
