Is God the enemy?

On average, about 5.4 million people are bitten by venomous snakes, and half of these bites result in envenomation. Between 80,000 and 140,000 people die every year as a result of these bites , and many more are left seriously injured.

You do realize the snake is faultless and pure, unable to help itself...?

Also, for those who believe a creator gave them those instincts, the venom potency was never necessary, it was placed by an omniscient God, who knew they would kill and petrify children who love and pray to him.

A good father, a good physician, a trustworthy guardian??

I would like to see an omnipotent mother bear, what she would do to anyone who she knows is even plotting on abusing her cubs.

Funny, as I said before, a mother bear can outdo God the Father, in virtues of a protector, fighting to death when she has to for her cubs...

If she was omnipotent, she wouldn't need to break a nail defending us....

So, omnipotent God would not have to only be a coward, but also, the screams and cries he ignores, and the lakes of fire he tosses people into, makes the Bible God , not just a sadist, more proud than the Devil, jealous, ....

...scriptures says he repents of evil, loses fights with people, and he says he is love, would you believe the person who kills the most unborn babies in history, is against abortion?

... could it be that he isn't honest always?

The Bible protrays a Great God, and the epitome of hypocrite, narcissist, sadist, bully, in the same book. It is good , wise, and extremely dangerous, bad advice, all in one,...

There's too many good Christians for me to discourage their faith, so many people who had no compassion and were irresponsible, have become responsible , loving it because o of scripture, and I love that,

...but I'm concerned about the victims of both this deity, and the hatred and bigotry that is promoted in these books , that are so confusing, stirring up fear and terror, leaving people to feel that their loved one who committed suicide as an atheist burning in hell forever,

For some people this book is like a romantic drug, but for other people, these abrahamic monotheistic religions, and reading this book, is torturing them night and day

This God contradicts himself more than any moral relativist....

Any of your help or feedback is appreciated. God bless! :)

Or rather, is he a big part of the problem,?? assuming he is the creator of evil, venemous monsters, Demons, ticks , mosquitos, flies, vermin that carry plagues....

He could heal us of the addictions and perversions many of us feel powerless over, and instead blames, shames, and leaves people in guilt, agony, suicidal, insane, killing themselves and others.....

His silence causes wars , division, and atheist militant killing machine regimes, or religious theocracy killing machines...

... Wouldn't that obviously make him a big part of the problem, if not the one who has the most responsibility in it?

It is at this time impossible for me to see it any other way, unless of course there are a whole bunch of things that are holding him back, which would mean he's rather weak and powerless himself.

People, I do not want to be the enemy of any deity or person who is humble, trying very hard to be just, a good parent, a good Christian or a good whatever, who really does indeed want everybody to be peaceful happy, dreams come true...

I really don't like being a jerk and venting the way I do sometimes, I see so many very very heartbreaking things and have all my life, and certain types of damage, I just I think it just tortures a person for the rest of their life, making them very difficult to be around, or even to frightening or in a world like this to feel comfortable around, also the types of people that's don't get much sympathy, because it seems like of course they're choosing it, they know better, God gave everybody free will, souls that go to hell are choosing to be there, all this other stuff....

When I know that a person can have every intention repeatedly, resolved, make promises that they have absolutely every intention of sticking to, wanting to be like the people who are not powerless over addictions and foolish, wanting to be strong, wanting to be free, wanting to abide by all the laws, wanting to not have any types of habits that they would have to be dishonest about, and dedicating themselves to going to church daily, reading holy material, avoiding the influences of bad company that will corrupt morals, even going to a monastery to have extra protection from the temptations of the world that's going to hell...

...I know that even then, a person can be so strong one day, so sound is their mind, so stable and holy is their health in so many ways, and the next day they can wake up and without any rational explanation, every thought and desire is 100% the opposite and they just want to die because they feel completely unpredictable, a threat to themself or others

..., a person can become so incredibly miserable being around the pious crowd, feel so much more trouble then before , in so many ways, or become more judgmental or even hateful towards people or groups that they think are leading people astray etc

More frustrated, darkness, more anger, even after a year of sobriety from not only addictions that are very obviously bad for your health, but things that are considered mortal sin, which most likely over 99% young men are guilty of every year, which medical evidence would even say is good for the health.....

... the amount of repression that it takes to do that can turn a person into an even more difficult person to be around, even worse sins, than to simply learn how to sin in moderation...

I actually became a much more nice person to people (at least sinners or people who belong to other religions that are condemned traditionally by Christians), when I fell back into all kinds of very serious errors and problems, including multiple life threatening issues, I was a nicer person and more humble, then when I was demonstrating more of the saintly behavior, the penitent, Spartan warrior for increased tolerance to suffering in high stress situations, poverty Chastity obedience to superiors, obedience to the faith, Dogma, and morals of the canonized saints, mortification of any type of appetite that one naturally craves for comfort, including sleep.

My anger at God and my publicly blaspheming him and his word, is not something I like to do, especially if he is the meek, the humble, the epitome of love and mercy, that so many say he is.

It is coming forth from a broken heart. Please pray that I could have this anger be replaced by tears, but also understanding, because anger can be very toxic. Tears can be extremely healthy to the point they can also prevent all kinds of problems...

... and teaching men that they are wimps for crying, weakens them,, can cause them to be violent, and criminals as well.

There is a guy in jail that was being laughed at and made fun of for crying, he just found out his mother died. He didn't get to ever redeem himself, say goodbye, have any warning or be present when that happened, does not get to be at her funeral.

It is one of the reason suicide is four times more common in men, and so many health conditions far far worse for males, even though they have enjoyed so many liberties and freedom from some other double standards, and and the pains of childbirth, ...

...the mental illness and signs of misery, as well as being less spiritual, have all been seen as far more common with the gender you would think would be more happy , grateful, strong.

The gender of Jesus and his top twelve , priests, the levitical priesthood, divine gender of his father lol... Maybe we need mother God, (father grizzly does not provide or care for his cubs in nature, as a very very general rule, with most mammals...

...even scorpions and female spiders will carry their babies on their back , and fight for them, and those creatures don't even have much ability to experience feelings of love, affection, or tenderness, when the mother is tempted often to eat the boyfriend on their honeymoon...

, it is still, the most crazy of mothers, spiders, she that fights to the death for her children if they are threatened, her children know to all pile on top of her back, even when it's not a place with enough room, where they have to stand on top of each other, they know they are safe on mommy's back, and she will carry them even across a river.. ;)

Cold blooded crocodiles, sometimes the mother will carry her baby in her mouth, so that the baby will be safe.

If the female gender even among such venomous monsters, is outdoing God the father , with what little she has, as well as an extreme lack of virtue, and he is rich, all knowing, should a spider or crocodile be proving a better guardian, were she omnipotent??? Than a God who is supposed to hold the record of "Love, compassion, responsible parenting, most worthy of praise, adoration, (better protector than the cops you would think??)

So, he never saw a dangerous creature approaching Eve?

Now imagine if that vicious creature we despise, who fights much larger and stronger predators who threatened her children , if that was your mom and , she was omnipotent, you would actually be safe, and really not have a lot to worry about or doubt regarding harm coming to you....

Neither would an enemy have entered the garden to cause us to fall, and the forbidden fruit would not have been placed there as a sort of mouse trap, to destroy humanity and give God an excuse to condemn us to be tortured and die!

Do not let your faith be shaken. I don't want to hurt anybody's faith... But if someone prays to the Virgin Mary, or prays to a female deity, maybe she's a lot nicer than the male deity who says she's the devil.

Maybe there's a need for Mom , that the proud wrathful, jealous dad has murdered, because he insists on being the center of attention, the only one, the one who threatens and tortures those who will not submit?

I'm just venting, obviously we all need god, but it seems like all the good ones have been destroyed by the proud, wrathful, bigoted , jealous one, and left people so scared that their dead loved ones are being tortured forever, for their devotion to a deity, a saint, or person they loved very dearly, saying it is demonic, could be cutting that person off from the medicine that they actually need.

It really really disturbs me. :(

Not at all. God was going to exterminate a much larger percentage of the Jews in the wilderness then the third Reich came close to, more than 99% of the Jews were going to get exterminated, and the only reason they didn't, was because Moses fought him, gave him all the reasons why that was a terrible idea, a mockable idea, would make them the laughing stalk of the Egyptians and their enemies, and it says "God repented of the evil he planned on doing to his people ".

Which means he admits Moses had a better idea, Moses is more loving and more merciful than he is, and he repents of evil, meaning he's a sinner, and the book of Isaiah says he creates evil.

The Bible says that he kills more unborn babies, and children who have not even reached the age of reason, than all the planned Parenthood facilities combined , and all the abortion doctors since roe versus Wade legalized abortion...

...and yet christians say God is pro-life, abortion they say is a sin.

Would you mind telling me what is the big difference?

God is love and yet yes he kills everybody with original sin, drowns over 99% of the pregnant women , children , infants, as well as animals, and people who don't believe in him, are tortured forever ?

God is perfect Justice, and yet even in my most sadistic days, I would not torture my worst enemy forever, especially not because of them accidentally believing in something wrong, or not believing in something that they can't even see with their eyes or audibly hear.

God says pride is the fall of the devil, and yet there is no pride that is greater than the one who is the greatest bully, telling people he's going to kill them for worshiping something that isn't him, or demanding that everybody worship him, or be punished, and drawing all sorts of attention to himself.

The Devil is called the accuser, and no one does that more, with more hypocrisy, than the proudest and most genocidal, bigoted of them all!

There has never been a human being who has demonstrated so much pride, vanity, and narcissism, and yes, that is in the Bible absolutely.

Anyone who would suggest otherwise, should really pick up the Bible and actually try to read it. I have from front to back, nothing has ever made me more sick!

No criminal ever guilty of so much murder of babies and children, genocide, torture, and war crimes, inhumanity, cruelty against people and animals! :(

If go back to Genesis, the story goes that God made the heavens and earth in six days, and then rested on the seventh day. The question becomes how long did God rest? The bible does not tell us, directly, how long God rested.

We can sort of infer this based on comparing the epic first six days of creation, with other bible things that happen after. There is nothing as epic as making a universe, the sun and earth, life, etc., until Revelations, where an entire bejeweled city descends from heaven to earth. Or late in Revelations when a new heaven and earth is created. The Old and New Testaments, beside Genesis and Revelations does not show anything as epic; Godlike, and therefore I would conclude God's Sabbath rest lasted through Revelations. Then God is back in business.

In the human version of the Sabbath; seventh day, one is not supposed to work. Rather all provisions need to be prepared in advance. If work is still needed, such as to tend to the flock, you will need to hire someone else to do it on the Sabbath. Since this tradition is a reflection of a heavenly tradition, if God was resting, and he was also not working, he would have made provisions in advance before his rest, and even hired another to deal with those pesky humans, as he rested.

The story of Adam and Eve, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which was Satan's tree, gives us clues as to how God prepared in advanced, and then choses/hires Satan to act on his behalf as he rested. God forms the trees of Life and Knowledge of Good and Evil in advance; during the first six days. He then makes a taboo, about the tree of knowledge of good and evil. However, he does not follow through to protect Adam and Eve, since God is now resting and not working.

This second tree, or the tree of knowledge of good and evil was Satan's tree. Satan appears to have been the hired hand, who would go on to become the Lord of the Earth, in charge of the humans as God rested. Satan was not evil, but good and evil like his tree. Many people, through history mistake the Lord of the Earth; Satan, as being God. However, Satan was condoned in heaven; he was given authority by God, as God rested.

Satan and is not thrown from heaven until Revelations. That means that Satan was the Lord of the Earth in both the old and new Testaments from after Genesis into Revelations. Revelations is when the first new epic signs of God caliber creation starts to appear, again; gathers the armies of heaven, lower a bejeweled City from heaven, and a new heaven and earth appear. Satan being thrown from Heaven, is when God is starting to get ready to end his rest. He fires Satan and then gives the job to Jesus. Jesus said, "nobody has seen the father; God, accept the Son", since God was resting and was not accepting guests, since entertaining can become work.

Knowledge of good and evil; Law, and Satan as Lord of the Earth, are the reason for the problems of humans and the world. Knowledge of good and evil is often subjective and therefore can become self serving. This subjectivity is what causes suffering. For example Twitter censorship in 2020 had all the rules; laws, benefitting only one political party. This is how law and Satan create suffering; take away the freedoms of some. The tree of life will bring instinctive peace. This does come back again until God make new heaven and earth; clean new creation.

You seriously need to consider the symbolism of the snake in the situation of Israel in exile.

I no longer believe in Yahweh the literary character. Too much drama behind the texts. I believe mostly that the earth (Gaia or Her equivalent) is “head honcho “ around here, assuming no one is more cosmic, and that She is only focused on the biosphere, not individual life forms per se. Suffering is not because She is a petty and vindictive and cowardly toddler, but because She cannot experience us individually just as I can’t be on a first name basis with the cells in my body. We are at the mercy of the biosphere’s homeostasis.

Could you please explain more.

Considering the Creation account in Gen, although from ancient sources, is from the Babylonian exile period in which the serpent was part of the Eastern fertility cults and a temptation to the exiles to abandon the Covenant and enter into the religious milieu of the time.

You do realize there is hardly ever a pagan Deity as hateful, as Yahweh, threatening lake of fire for not believing in them, I do not know of pagan scriptures as hypocritical, proud, jealous, wrathful, or genocidal as Yahweh...

Yahweh also says worse things about Jews than any Pagan Deity, calling Israel a whore , saying he will get a divorce, lift up the skirt of his bride, and invite enemies to rape her...

Yahweh was going to exterminate a much larger percentage of Jews than the Holocaust, over 99%, and it was only Moses fighting with God, that saved them, convincing God his plans are evil, and it said "God repented of the evil", God repented of sin, so he is a moral relativist..

He says he created evil and darkness in Isaiah, but says he is faultless, but repents of evil, which both cannot be true, so he is a liar and verifiable baby killedmr, abortion doctor...;)

I guess if pagan deities are Devils, he is the most proud, angry, jealous, with highest kill count, so he is a Devil with a different name...;)

Some of the most amazing things have taken place in this world as a result of scripture and christianity, some of the greatest deeds of charity, courage, altruism, have been motivated by abrahamic religions, but the extreme of opposite has also taken place as a result of scripture, and scripture does deliver opposite messages like to the total extreme of a loving god, to the extreme of a proud sadistic intolerant God who kills people's Stones them to death for simply picking up sticks on the wrong day of the week,

...which doesn't even really qualify as work on sabbath, picking up some sticks for firewood. That's resembles radical extremist groups like isis and how ridiculous it is.

My point being when you have a book that promotes ideas and policies that are so extreme opposites, repeatedly delivering opposite messages, repeatedly showing the opposite God, who is love and mercy, then a God who is the worst of dictators, and the most sadistic thing that has ever happened, the most proud and narcissistic, jealous, and wrathful and bigoted entity, when you have opposites extremes like that, it becomes a book of moral relativism...

Please show the scriptures to back up your claims.
". The Flood (Genesis 6-8)
2. The cities of the plain, including Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18-19)
3. The Egyptian firstborn sons during the Passover (Exodus 11-12)
4. The Canaanites under Moses and Joshua (Numbers 21:2-3; Deuteronomy 20:17; Joshua 6:17, 21)
5. The Amalekites annihilated by Saul (1 Samuel 15)

The death penalty. There are numerous “crimes” for which God, through the Law of Moses, requires the death penalty. Among these are sacrificing to a god other than Yahweh (Exodus 22:20), persistent rebelliousness on the part of a child (Deuteronomy 21:18–21), a child who hits or curses his or her parents (Exodus 21:15 and 17), working on the Sabbath (Exodus 35:2), premarital sexual intercourse (Deuteronomy 22:13–21), and the requirement for a priest to burn his daughter alive if she became a prostitute (Leviticus 21:9).

God’s anger and wrath. In the Old Testament, God’s anger repeatedly burns against his people for their disobedience. At times, the punishment he dispenses seems particularly harsh, unjust, and disproportionate. Let’s consider just one example.

In 2 Samuel 24, we find that King David decided to take a census of the men of fighting age. The prophet Gad was sent to David to announce God’s displeasure with the taking of the census. The punishment for David’s sin: “The Lord sent a pestilence on Israel from that morning until the appointed time; and seventy thousand of the people died” (2 Samuel 24:15). David makes a decision that does not please God, and God kills 70,000 Israelites for it? How could this action ever be reconciled with a God of mercy, compassion, justice, and love?

Genocide in the name of God. I’ll mention one last category of scriptures related to the violence of God: those that describe the conquest of Canaan. At the time the Israelites entered the land to conquer it, Canaan was populated with small city-states or kingdoms made up of various ethnic groups speaking similar languages. God promised Israel that he would give them this land, but to do so these people had to be displaced.

This is problematic enough, but God wasn’t asking the Israelites to forcibly relocate them to other lands. God instructed the Israelites to kill every man, woman, and child among these Canaanites. In Deuteronomy 20:16–18, Moses gives these instructions: “As for the towns of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, you must not let anything that breathes remain alive. You shall annihilate them—the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites—just as the Lord your God has commanded.”

The Hebrew word for “annihilate” has as its root herem (also transliterated as cherem or sometimes charam). The classic Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon notes the meaning of the word in English is “to exterminate.”

God was going to exterminate a much larger percentage of Jews on earth, after telling everyone he loved them so much, are his people he will never forget, then he was going to exterminate over 99% of them afterwards, for crimes not that percent were even guilty of, worse than the holocaust by far, and the only thing that saved them from God was Moses repeatedly telling God it was a stupid idea that would make him and them all the laughing stalk of their enemies.

It says "God repented of the evil he planned on doing to his people". which means God repents of sin and evil.... and humans can be far more rational and kind than God, fighting with God and telling him his ideas and ways are asinine and disgusting, can actually save more lives than telling him he is great , or going along with his plans, believing they are perfect justice!

If Moses did that, it would have been the greatest extermination per capita of Jews that the world ever saw, in any other instances of antisemitism...

Hello Spiderman, it has been a long times since we have spoke, maybe two years. As I remember you had a few spiders, and a pet tarantula. Do you still have them?

It seems you have some problems seeing God as a loving God? Do you just have problems with the things you feel God has done? Or do you think that you do not really believe that God even exits? Or maybe even both?

It is good to see you are still here. Hope life is going well for you, I know you have had a hard time in the past.

My spiders were taken when I went to jail.

It's very difficult. I am certain God exists. I feel he victimizes many good people and displays the qualities he hates in the devil and in sinners. I want him to change!
