Is God the Source of It All?

Is god the source of it all, as is generally thought in the West and Middle East, or is god a vehicle for the source of it all, as is generally thought in the East?

Hi Sunstone, don't understand the concept of a god that is a vehicle for the source of all that you attribute to the East. So far as my understanding goes, Brahman is one without a second, not confined by any space, not limited by any time, not known by any knowledge, and not describable by any words.

So IMO, god is a concept that represents the cosmic oneness that is immanent in all creation throughout eternity and infinity, and simulataneusly transcendent to creation throughout eternity and infinity.

IOW, god is the uncreated source of creation and also the creation, for god is not a 'house divided' but a unity.

BTW, as for the concept of deities that represent vehicles the celestial hierarchy within creation of absolute God, these are not confined to the East, but also the West and Middle East, and are known as elohim, angels, archangels, jinn, etc..

So yes, God the Source of It All and is not separate from it All.

God, is nothing more than a concept of the mind, at least how i see it. EDIT: and at least how he/she/it has been described to me.

I think the general attitude has been that god is whatever you want it to be, if you need a god.

I can't make heads nor tails of the latter option. Could you elaborate/ clarify?

From an existential perspective, it makes more sense that instead of God being considered the source of the unknown, that he is the source of the known. In that sense, as the human experience grows, God gets larger, not smaller.

The gods or God is the source of all good things experienced as a human being. God is the relationship with all the goodness we, as human beings experience, but cannot understand.

The mysterious, unexplainable and unpredictable patterns of GOODNESS called, God.

I'm taking myself as my own universe so yes. For me.
I can't grasp it all. Metaphor allows me (in some measure) deal with the infinity in which I find myself. God is the source of it all because my concept of God allows me the illusion of grasping the (for me) ungraspable.
