Maybe I am missing some source or something, but the source link of the OP is basically saying that ID is creationism in denial.
It is an interesting study case, as a matter of fact, as it artfully attempts to say fairly clashing things while decreeing that it has reconciled them.
1. That it is seeking evidence of a creator. Well, that is nothing new. It is actually what Darwin attempted to do, and how he learned of evolution. Only Darwin was honest and intelligent enough to acknowledge the facts for what they were.
2. That it is scientific. This is interesting, because were it true, ID would no longer exist as something worth of a name of its own. It would simply collapse into evolution and/or biology.
To an extent the arising of ID is a good sign, in that it indicates some acknowledgement of the futility of denying scientific knowledge. But it is also sad, because at the same time it is a plain attempt at taking control of that knowledge to fulfill unadvisable agendas.
Much like a fever, I suppose, in that it is ultimately a good thing... but mainly because it will doubtless finish itself and heal most of the disease that brought it into being by collapsing out of existence.
