Is It Immoral to Try to Convert an Atheist?

Ok, what did I say about Crowley? There is your answer.

IMO, that post (#39, BTW - see? It's not really that hard to give a post number) seems to not really be an explanation for your position, but more of an argument that you're not doing what you seem to be rather obviously doing (i.e. trying to change people's minds).

Umm...no. I put forth ideas and argue those ideas because for me arguing strengthens me and I think it is fun. I don't care if a person believes me or not. That is no concern to me.

Do you get that yet? I doubt it. Read Crowley.

I consider everyone my equal, whether they are atheist, Baptist or UFO cultist, if they do no harm or commit no sin I see no reason in wanting to change them. Since I do not see atheism or theism or any other ism as harmful in and of themselves I see no reason whatsoever in trying to change them.

They have their nature and I have mine. I only fight because I like it and it strengthens me.

Capiche?

I doubt it.

Well I think they do serve a purpose by breaking up the stranglehold of organized religion anyways, which is just a means of power and control over people's minds and wallets. Is it immoral to try and convert an atheist to theism? No, just as it's not immoral for an atheist to theism. We are all entitled to cognitive freedom imo.
Yup! There should have been a poll question attached to the thread. Because I don't think there are many takers for the thread question. Maybe the whole point was satire of the debate over deconverting religious adherents.
