Cheeseburger heresy? Let's ask the one know can give us the answer

There's a reason why we call it "deadly serious" because being too serious is deadly. And I've found that God has a divine sense of humor.

What do believers have to say about this?
If you keep the bread, dress yourself funny, make sure you are a male, and whisper some latin words in it, I would say that about 1 billion find that reasonable.

Well, if God is good and cheeseburgers are good, then...

I suppose that if we are pantheists, then we might say that cheeseburgers participate in or manifest God in some way.

I personally think of 'God' in a very metaphysical way, as meaning the ultimate principle of reality, the reason there is something rather than nothing, and the source of the cosmic order that we see. (Where logic, mathematics and the laws of physics come from etc.) So to the extent that cheeseburgers are real, they would presumably have the same ultimate explanation that everything else that's real has.

All that being said, my answer is 'no', assuming that the suggestion is about reducing God to something trivial.

Irrelevant question to me.

Whether or not I find someone's gods "reasonable" is irrelevant. They do. Better to simply respect that diversity than make needless enemies of others because they worship different gods (or believe they worship no gods) from me. Diversity is an opportunity for learning.
