Is life (consciousness) in hereafter the real life and the present (consciousness) an illusion?

This is not true.
The evidence is overwhelming. For all of human history people have been claiming "revelation". The revelations have continually changed, generally becoming more sophisticated as human thought and knowledge have expanded. As a result there has never been a final revelation, . . .
If you take the numerous cultural tellings of Creation Stories which are VERY similar, all these stories are evidences for the "truth of revelation", which is given directly by visionary meetings of cosmos.

Definitely the other way round, delusion is believing in an after life. Some people are never happy with what they have got and seek fantasies instead of realities.

Does one agree that the dream and being awake are both illusions? The dream is an illusion when one is half dead, and awake-ness is relatively more lasting, yet an illusion that one sees when one is alive in this world. Please
Life in the hereafter is therefore more real than the life in this temporal world.

We are experiencing life via physical vehicles which we exit from when our rental of the vehicle expires. I(attach your preferred term - I'll use 'soul') have a body-mind mechanism but I am not the body-mind mechanism. The body-mind mechanism is the token used to play in this game called call Life.

We have many levels of this game called Life. During what is called our waking state we can operate on automatic pilot much of the time when we do the following without any thought:- brushing your teeth and hair, making breakfast, driving the car, getting on the tube and so on. We can escape this level when we become enlightened. Enlightenment is simply experiencing Life without the conditioning we have undergone throughout our lives. Its about becoming awake on all levels of Life.

The dream state is just as real as real as the physical realm, and it is when we become awake when sleeping that we escape that level. And so it goes on and on...................

I may be wrong, but this is such an interesting topic.

Blessings to you all.

I agree with one.
Quran supports it and the point is mentioned in Quran.

Verse (29:64)

Sahih International: And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew.
The Quranic Arabic Corpus - Word by Word Grammar, Syntax and Morphology of the Holy Quran

Verse (39:42)

Sahih International: Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

The real life is the life in hereafter, the present one is not.

So, this is the Science and Religion thread....
Can you scientifically support the notion that there is a life in the "hereafter", whatever that means? Until it is proven to exist, kit seems the greater illusion of the three.

I aim(better not as I am a terrible shot)to read the Quran, but first I am going to read the Bible.

I did a brief read of a few random verses, and it didn't leave me with a good feeling.

As for proof of the Afterlife, I have proven it to myself that such a place does exist. I cannot bring any tangible evidence. My NDE happened at an early age, 12, and I confess that I was a hardcore atheist. My NDE changed that, I didn't go 'all religious' but my own spiritual outlook changed.

I have also seen those who have exited their physical carriage, alas, I once more can offer no proof.

Unless it happens to you..............

...............oh yes, I've seen a variety of what people refer to as UFOs.

I am over 50 and not delusional, well thats what my dog tells me !!!
