Is life short or not?

Life is so short that I would need a few life times to achieve my current list of goals. I don't like to think about it, it's so depressing!

Life is short when you want it to last, and long when you want it to fly by.

Reality is often contrarian when it comes to human wishes.

It lasts long enough to get the general idea (I'm rather tired of the present situation already).

Then one generation passes and another lives to get the general idea.

The species as a whole goes from not having a clue, to learning the ultimate lesson.

When we live again, we can all then look back on the whole of human experience -examine the evidence and collective knowledge -and all learn the ultimate lesson.

In the grand scheme of things, life is short.

And you could die tomorrow - that makes it shorter.

When I think about all the things I want to do in my lifetime, it makes me realise how short a time I actually have on this earth.

what if someone did all the things they wanted to do in their lifetime?
I do love my life, but my accomplishments are the result of my strength of will. There is a song "Try" by Nelly Furtado, that says:
"and I have lived so many lives, though I'm not old"
that's exactly how I feel

It would depend on your perspective

“Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That's relativity.” ― Albert Einstein

Life it like that

For some it's too short

For others, too long

If somebody does everything they wanted to in their lives, it doesn't mean that their life is long - just more productive, perhaps.

I think it's a philosophy. Life is not actually short by definition, but we could die at any moment. It could only take seconds for someone who is completely healthy and tough to die. If you see death in front of you due to an incident, you only think of that moment and almost completely forget or care less about all of your past. Sometimes you wish you did things when you find out you really lost the chance do to it for good.

Those who say life is short and complement and/or compliment it with another phrase, I mainly respect. Sayings like "life is short, so don't waste it with hatred" are saying that I see are wise. Got that, you? (having some people in mind :))

Depressing? if you do your best, you shouldn't blame yourself.

C'est quoi, ça? Existentialisme français?
