Is Masturbation Healthy for You?

DarkSun

:eltiT
You don't find people attractive?

You could be asexual. Have you considered that?

Well, no, not sexually at least. I can tell whether a guy or a girl is meant to look appealing based on what I've seen in magazines and on TV, but I just don't see anything that sets them apart myself.

I have considered that. But when I went to look stuff up about asexuality, I found that it didn't seem to be supported by psychology. I mean, my situation goes against the entire branch of evolutionary psychology, and people like Freud would be more likely to call me sexually frustrated than asexual.

So I don't know what's going on to be honest, lol. If you figure it out, tell me.

I sort of believe more in the Kinsey scale...in other words ppl put too many labels on sexuality.

But I would assume you also to fit or lean mostly on the label of asexuality if you really don't find one nor the other gender attractive or even close to arrousing.

Masturbation is secondary which something most ppl don't realize. Just b/c someone can visually arouse someone doesn't mean they can physically.

Hey there.

I hadn't heard of the Kinsey Scale before now.

I did a quick Google search on it, and I found a few pages which explained it for me.

Nothing seemed to state how often the X rating was given. Is that just for children, by default, or what?

EDIT:

Never mind, I found something.

Well that's interesting.

But I'm still a bit conflicted on the matter.

Meh, we'll see how everything turns out. :p

Children?

Nah....and I don't believe the kinsey scale is totally accurate. It just means that one may be subject to attractions or arrousals they never thought. Sadly most societies look down on any such subject or thought thinking it perverted or "unnatural".

And this should must be assumed with those who are not arroused by any human. So I wouldn't be too worried about it unless you idenitify with the bonobo..

I think the second one might qualify as being intended to cause sexual arousal. Why else would a woman pose in a bikini in front of a camera?

It is definitely supposed to be sexy, but it is also artistic. I suppose you can label it Erotica, but people are going to be very surprised by that labeling.

By the way, what ARE they doing in the 3rd picture?

The girl on top, Yulia, is straddling the girl below, Lena. Yulia stares into her eyes, and Lena spreads her arms, in a surrendering fashion. It is such a sweet moment.

Why would that be a surprise? Don't most people consider a supposedly attractive (personally I find the models to be rather average looking compared to the real girls I know) women in the skimpiest outfits possible to be erotic?

Straddling?

To Straddle:
To stand or sit with a leg on each side of; bestride (e.g. straddle a horse).

As I said, it can technically be considered erotica, but it is not by the population at large. You can find pictures like that in any magazine, not just the erotic ones. Out of curiosity, are you Indian?

I can't say if it is or is not healthy physically but I know it is healthy mentally. For me at least. Sometimes its the only way that I have any chance to concentrate on something productive. It gets rid of tension, frustration, stress (at least temporarily) and stops me day dreaming about gorgeous naked men (also temporarily!).

Well said!! (well in for the ladies)

If your uptight, best let one off, whether is a five knuckle shuffle (man) one, two or three finger wiggle (woman) much better to let one off than smash the place up.

I wonder if people think it's more strange to be asexual than it is to be homosexual or bisexual. :sarcastic

And what's a bonobo? :p I'm more of a horse-lover myself. :flirt:

(Just kidding.)

I have no idea what society thinks of asexuals. Personally, I wouldn't mind being asexual. It would make life much simpler.

Is it possible that you just have very, very low levels of testosterone?

No, unfortuantely I am a mere white man D=.
I simple recognized at some point (December 2008 - February 2009 timespan) that Indian girls were so much more beautiful than other girls, shortly after realizing that most of the intelligent, studious people in my school were Indian. At some point, it developed into a fetish and now, being Indian is an almost automatic turn-on for me :).

Oooh, prreeeetttyyy... :)
She has a very beautiful face, although the tatoos on the hands kinda detract from the rest of her =/. Tatoos are always a turn-off for me. And the nose ring, I never liked those either. Still an attractive lady though :).

Did you name yourself after this lady?

Madhuri is my spiritual name.
Just so you know, those are not tatoos. It is a painted decoration made from henna and washes off easily.
I like nose studs :D

Haha, I don't know how it is in your part of the world, but whenever I say something to someone, they tend to do one of several things.

People generally tend to think that there's something wrong with me... as in... that I must stress a lot, that I have some hormonal abnormality, that I'm repressing my sexuality, that I was abused as a child, that I'm lying, that I'm in denial, that I'm naive... whatever.

I don't think any of those things are true, but anyhow.

Actually, the last option (that I'm just naive, or, "too young to understand") was a pretty popular one to think when I was about thirteen and I was saying that I didn't feel attraction to anything. Now most people tend to think I'm in denial. :p

Someone actually asked what my sexuality was the other day.

Random: So, are you bi, straight or gay?
Me: None...
Random: Sorry, I don't understand...
Me: I don't think I'm any of those things.
Random: Well, that's a weird answer....

Is it possible that you just have very, very low levels of testosterone?

It is. But I haven't been tested, so I wouldn't know.

I don't think I have a severe lack of testosterone, because I went through puberty at the right stage, and I don't sound like a Eunuch, so... :p

Gosh, all I can think of when I see these is terrible retouching (or airbrushing if you are more familiar with the term). Look at the skintone on the girls. I find it very amusing that anyone would find such a poor attempt at reality interpretation attractive. :D
