I stumbled across the following and thought it was rather amusing. Click on the link to see the fleshed-out presentation

VI. CONCLUSION
I. INTRODUCTION
How many of you have heard this before: "Our Sun is just another star. In fact, it is an average star - one of 100 billion - in the Milky Way galaxy". What if it isn't just another star? What if what we know about the Sun does NOT apply to all the stars we see in the night sky? Would it throw the big bang theory into irreconcilable doubt? I believe it would.
The goal of this paper is to prove, using only the Bible, that the Sun is NOT a star. There are four major reasons from the Bible why I believe the Sun is not a star, and therefore the assumptions made about stars, their creation, their life, their death, their burn rate, the composition - basically every assumption we make about stars - are faulty. These faulty assumptions completely throw into doubt the theory of the evolution of the universe and the big bang theory.
In this paper I will show:
the Sun and stars had DIFFERENT BEGINNINGS in the creation story.
the Sun and stars are ALWAYS referred to separately in scripture, and
the Sun and stars have DIFFERENT PROPHETIC ENDINGS.
II. BIBLICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SUN AND STARSThe goal of this paper is to prove, using only the Bible, that the Sun is NOT a star.
THE SUN: The Sun was worshipped as a god Deu 4:19, Deu 17:3, II Ki 23:5
THE STARS: The stars are high in the heavens, Job 22:12
etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,
III. BIBLICAL PROOF THAT OUR SUN IS NOT A STARTHE STARS: The stars are high in the heavens, Job 22:12
etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,
1. There are different Hebrew and Greek words for Sun and stars.
2. The Sun and stars are always listed separately in Scripture.
3. Scriptures make certain distinctions about the Sun and stars.
4. The creation story, which definitely makes distinction between the Sun and the stars.
IV. CURRENT SECULAR SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE2. The Sun and stars are always listed separately in Scripture.
3. Scriptures make certain distinctions about the Sun and stars.
4. The creation story, which definitely makes distinction between the Sun and the stars.
Blah, blah, blah.
V. THE BIG BANG THEORY IS DESTROYED
So what? What does it matter whether the Sun is a star or a special body created to sustain life on earth? These questions may be on your mind, but the EARTHSHAKING RAMIFICATIONS of the fact that our Sun is not a star are evident when you look at the theory of evolution and the big bang theory.
If our Sun is not a star, it blows a major hole in the scientific theories of how our universe was put together. It means there was an omniscient designer who carefully crafted our Sun and placed it where it is for special reasons. To admit this, for the scientific world, is clearly NOT an option, so more time and money will be spent on trying to KEEP GOD OUT of the equation. That is the way it has always been, and how it always will be, according to the Bible:

VI. CONCLUSION
In closing, the best evidence we can have is the very inspired words of God Almighty, who has clearly told us in his revelation to us that the Sun and stars and not the same. Here is a summary of the main arguments of this paper:
Over and over, the Sun and stars are mentioned separately in the same sentence. The Sun and stars have different Hebrew and Greek words and meanings Paul tells us that the Sun and stars are different in glory. Luke clearly distinguished between them in Acts 27. Moses tells us the Sun was created, then the stars were "also" created. David tells us in Psalm 72:17 that the Sun will endure forever. Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 13:10 that the stars will not give their light in the future, and Jesus tells us that stars will fall from the heaven. Yet Jesus also tells us that the Sun and stars will have different and separate prophetic futures - the Sun will only be "darkened" temporarily, since in the end, the Sun, according to David, and verses in Revelation, will endure FOREVER, while the stars will "fall from the heaven".
