Well we already have an unaccountable and out of control SCOTUS .. so it does stand to reason that the presidency might follow.

My impression is that the President can't be held criminally accountable for actions that are part of his "job" as president. It would make the job close to impossible if he were to be hauled into court for every decision he made. Other actions are definitely indictable. The worry is that the SCOTUS might alter that balance and give the President immunity for all actions.
I recommend that everyone read up on what Trump has clearly said about his next term, if he gets it. It reads like a total takeover of power, to his personal benefit. If you are not scared senseless, you haven't read it. Hate Biden, love Biden, PLEASE vote for him. Biden will certainly go away in another four years. Trump may not, if he gets the power he wants.
(Quick correction. It's not just Trump of course. There's been a movement in this direction for many years.)

Well I remember when the Justices used to recognize "evolving standards" as how to interpret a constitution written more than 200 years ago, now we have a stagnant core that thinks perfection was some imaginary scenario and we just need to get back to when only white male landowners could vote. MAGA
