If someone felt sad enough to end their life why is that wrong ?

I was close i would have left a husband and young family, that is wrong, I'm happy that friends and family saved me

That said, both husband and i have an open booking with Dignitas. If either of us get to the stage that we cannot function and our lives are no longer worth living through pain or mental decline, the other will take us to Switzerland to end our suffering. Which be think, as a family, is the right thing to do

Depends entirely on circumstance ... in other words, just how bad is it? My daughter had a friend who suffered immensely from the inability to digest copper, so basically poisoning from copper. He was hospitalized and bedridden, and kept pulling out the IVs the nurses put in. Before that, he had broken and then jumped out the third story window of the hospital in an attempt to get rid of his chronic severe pain all over his body. The docs had given him about 5 years to live. Fortunately for him, a compassionate doctor finally told him about the legal option (here in Canada) for doctor assisted euthanasia. Three weeks later he left his body behind. Personally, I didn't find it wrong, but compassionate.
