Is the earth flat and square, floating on water??

Yip, the blind can see, the deaf can hear, the lame can walk, the sick can be healed and the dead can be raised to life, but the uni_verse can't be in the shape of a holographic tetragonal magnetite or pyramid because people with *round* telescopes and computer *generated* images believe so. When Jesus returns, how will all see him because ppl on the otherside of the 'globe' can't. Will Jesus return for all to see, or is the bible a fairytale? When satan took Jesus to the highest mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in all their glory, did they see ALL the kingdoms? If the earth is flat they did(no pollution back then), but if its a globe then they couldn't have seen to the otherside of the planet. A round earth makes the bible look fabricated!! But no, the earth isn't round afterall!
Why would Gods prophets describe a flat square earth? Are they stupid people or did God show them things about the earth people only dream of?

And I forgot to add that when you look across the horizon you must take physics into account, namely the law of refraction - that light bends over a distance and through varying mediums. Even temperature bends light. Some sunsets end with a ovoid sun that looks like its bulging but you are witnessing refracted light. How can so many seemingly well educated people not understand basic laws of nature and continue to live in a world of delusions, within a distorted realm of ideological biast information? Its most bizarre

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I think it's most bizarre that so many people who claim to be well educated cannot differentiate between literary styles in the Bible.

When the bible in Revelations, not in the Tenakh, describes the four angels at the four corners holding back the four winds, maybe that's coz the four angels at the four corners stop the wind from blowing on the earth. It says when this happens then every tree will die, maybe that's coz when that happens every tree will die?? Just maybe?? In the time just before armageddon people will be struck with many plagues. I think that's bcoz in the time just before armagedon many people will die from fierce plagues. Only Jesus taught in metaphors, and even his metaphors were literal predictions. The bible is a literal verifiable historical account, its not a mythology. When Jesus ascended into heaven, did he literally rise up and arrive at heaven, up there, or is it a fairytale. When Jesus put back the cut off ear of the high priest's servant, did he really put it back? Did he really raise the dead, or is it a figurative account. Look at the globe with africa screened on television. The african continent takes up the whole picture - and so now how does the rest of the world fit on the back of that computer edited image? Ever heard of 'psychological brainwashing'? It was well developed by the nazi's. It goes something like this: if you tell a lie loud enough and often enough then ppl will believe it
You realize, of course, that the Revelation is described as a dream? How many dreams do you know of that are literal?:beach:

What's more bizarre is christians reading the bible once and thinking they know God. Most of what ppl understand about christianity is read on bumper stickers, t-shirts, and sung by musicians. If they took the time to really understand God and His creation then they wouldn't say that what the prophet John PROPHESIED about pre-armageddon is a literal prophecy and not merely a pretty story!!!! When Jesus broke bread he would look UP at God and thank HIm. Heaven is up, hell is down but if the world is a ellipsoid sphere then there is no UP or DOWN. Sometimes I have to just laugh and let ppl live in their 'safe zones'. Yes the world is round, will that help you sleep tonight?
Revelation, a dream? WhahahahahahhhhahhAaaaaA aaaaaa thanks I needed a laugh :)

Why do you put any store in this particular book, Washme? Why not the Gita or Tao Te Ching?
If you'd been raised in Riyadh would you be defending the Quran?

*thanks for the reply Seyorni. This is an amazing question you are asking me:) why not the gita? Why not the quran?
Let me try to make a long story understandable in a short a story. Firstly let me say that todays societies are saturated with rainbow of varying and different cultures. There are several million christians in the middle east. The jews, christians and moslems have lived side by side for centuries. Only 'extremists' kill in the name of their religion.
I'm not a 'nationalist'. I studied the gita's and did an hour or more meditation everyday. I read the bible and quran and lived rastafari and played i-ching and future telling cards and and... I believed all the religions led to the same place. But one day I was in my room and musing through the Holy Scriptures and in an instant I had a question. The question arose because of the conflict between the religions. Well all religions said all religions are good but Jesus said He is Gods firstborn Son, His very dearest prophet. And immediately I knew that raising to god-consciousness isn't the answer, that slaying an animal during ramadam isn't the answer, that going to church on a sunday and repenting wasn't the answer. The answer was having a REAL relationship with God was the answer. That pleasing Him was the answer. I fell into a firm place if I may put it that way. And from there God showed me daily that the Holy Scriptures were His inspiration. The Book of Enoch isn't in the Bible but it really should be:-(

The human body takes up physical space and assigns properties to the way in which we conceptualize different directions relative to the body's posture. "Up" denotes future. "Down" denotes past. It's that simple. The story relates Jesus acting in a way that a normal human being would act when thinking of God (since "God" resides in the concept of "future" and "higher" than us).

Yes. Revelation was a dream. Sorry to burst your bubble.
