Is the Kemetic religion a revival religion?

Mata

Insert Witty Title Here
Kemetic Orthodox, one of the major organizations of modern Kemetic paganism, calls itself a revived religion. As opposed to reconstructed (revived religions are usually held to be less focused on historical precedence and work to bring the perceived soul of the practice into modern times). But there are Kemetic reconstructionists. So tl;dr, some forms of Kemetism are revived, others are reconstructed and some are the ever present 'other' :)

Just to reiterate what Mata said, it really depends on who you are talking to. There are Kemetic Revivalists who's focus is more on worshiping the Kemetic Gods in their specific modern religion/religious ways (ie Wicca, Paganism, and many African Religions), and there are Kemetic Reconstructionists who's focus is literally reconstructing the ancient Kemetic religion in a way that it can "fit" with modern life, such as myself.

There are also those who consider themselves Kemetic Orthodox who try as best as they can to completely adhere to the Ancient Kemetic ways of life...

I, myself, as I said, am a Kemetic Reconstructionist. I know we have people who consider themselves Kemetic Orthodox here, so hopefully they will pipe in for you as well.

Also, don't hesitate to ask any questions, should you have any. I'll do as best I can to answer.
