Is the universe conscious of itself...

Just your opinion for the veils of Maya are clouding your mind and thus obscuring your view from far too may things.

Do you have anything to reply with that is not Pseudoscience or pseudohistory?

Your replies seem to be all rhetorical in nature, with no substance. Out of desperation due to not being able to substantiate anything

With respect, outhouse, there was a "Nature" episode on PBS that showed that plants communicate and interact with each other. I will try to find it and post the link here. It was very good.

Watched the whole show when it was on TV.

It Is only a chemical based stimulus called Biosemiotic Perspective

Factually there is no consciousness nor do they imply such

Well, I don't agree that the paranormal is involved here.

There's more going on than meets the eye, yes, and it's not pseudoscience.

That's what our consciousness and congnitive functions break down to. Chemical interactions. Ours is just more complex than plants.

Yes, but lets put this into context.

Its like putting a nail in a lemon to produce current, VERSES the processing power an overclocked CPU on dry ice.

There is no comparison here, as the plant is not conscious in any way

All you're doing is slapping a big label on what we've already said.

No.

I'm telling you the current state of knowledge on plants Biosemiotic Perspective, which is not nor has anything to do with a plant being sentient WHICH was the context to my statements.

Plants are not conscious.

How do you know?

invoking the supernatural will not help you

A brain is required to possess consciousness

1. I'm not invoking the supernatural. I'm asking you if you are a plant.

2. Our information at this time suggests a brain is required for sentience.

BUT, we don't know everything, do we?

It was thought that life could not flourish in extreme heat ot cold, yet such life was discovered.

You seem to like that expression.

I know it's hard to accept that you're wrong or fallible, but there it is.

There are many things we don't know about our world. One of them is that plants may be sentient in a way we don't yet understand.
