Through out the ages, people living in many different societies have claimed to have had a direct, unmediated experience of God. What do you make of these claims? Are the people who make them all deluded? Are they mistaken? Or, do some people, in fact, have a direct, unmediated experience of God?
Are you referring to God the Son or God the Father ??? Usually Christ appears in place of God the Father, but in the case of Joseph Smith, Christ and the Father both appeared, but the Father said "here is my belobed Son hear him".. God the Father appeared as if just to present His Son and nothing more....There is no place in the Bible where this has ever happened....When Moses spoke with God it was Jesus Christ not God the Father he was speaking to.. Jesus Christ is the God of the Old and New Testament and it was Him who appeared in all cases not God the Father...

There are many claiming to have seen Jesus Christ or have claimed to have His presence in the same room with them at times....I think this is entirely possible that many have felt the presence of Christ in a room before, but as for seeing Him this is very rare....
