Those of us who dare look beyond syndicated news are aware that the "elite" have big plans to ameliorate mankind's life on earth (or at least the "deserving" part of mankind).
Regardless. I think, the majority of us would love to see drastic improvements to our way of life and a solution to problems on earth.
A well known, but often overlooked solution to mankinds suffering, perhaps because it fails to reflect modern enlightened thinking, is the Kingdom of God.
Interestingly it is the second most important thing Christians are asked to pray for and one of the most important thing they should be concerned with and proclaim to the world.
God's expression of His sovereignty through this subsiduary government has been expressed from the beginning in symbolic phrases progressively foretelling that it would be headed by a deputy ruler.
Christ was the one who unweiled the -up to this point in time- "secret of the Kingdom" but even then only a select few understood it's import.
We know now, that the actual implementation of the Kingdom start with the promise that JHWH made with King David, where God promised David that there would be no end to his Kingdom and last forever.
This means that only a man fullfiling all the legal genealogycal requiremts of inheritance could be placed on the "throne of David".
The anticipation of the Jewish people that Jesus would fulfilled these requirements -we are told- proved true.
Jesus became the Messiah or Christ when he presented himself to John for baptism thereby become the anointed King Designate and the one recognised by God's Court as having the legal right to the throne of David.
The Jewish people understood correctly that Jesus was the King of a Government, although they thought that it would be an earthly government that would free them from Roman oppression. In this they were mistaken, since it was to be a heavenly government, that would not only relieve the suffering of the Jews but set all of mankind free from enslavement to sin and death.
Although the Jews and Christians of the first century, clearly understood that the "Kingdom" was a real Government, an attempt was made by mainstream church to confuse it's true significance, and to delegate it's meaning to a obscure mystic inwardness and emotional abstraction.
To this end translations were used that claim Jesus said to the Pharisees "the Kingdom is within you" or "in your heart". This interpretation is based on an archaic language used by the KJ and DY.
To choose alternate wordings that are aligned with the context, such as the kingdom is "amongst you" or "with you" are also perfectly good transliteration of the Greek and importantly runs paralell to the context, because having Jesus make the statement that "the kingdom is within you" to the pharisees runs diametrically opposed to the fact that the Kingdom with it's associated righteoussness could not be in the heart of the Pharisees,,,, since their heart was filled with deceit and iniquity.
A short synoptsis of the features surrounding the Kingdom of God might look like this.
The Kingdom of God is a Government
It's in heaven.
Jesus is the King.
It's domain will be the earth.
It's subjects will be on earth.
It will have 144.000 coregent (perhaps a figurative number).
The co-regents are chosen from manking.
The initiall subject will be survivors from harmageddon.
JHWH makes the decision who survives.
I can be assumed that the wicked will not survive harmageddon.
Eventually resurrected ones will be added from the righteous and unrighteous from sheol(grave).
The Kingdom will be in operation for one thousand years.
Satan and his hordes will be imprisoned for the duration, hindering them from interfering in human affairs.
During that time earth population can accept or reject God's rule.
After the thousand years Satan will be let loose again.
Individuals will have to prove their allegiance.
Satan will be terminated.
Faithful ones will receive life eternal.
Christ will hand the Kingdom to God.
Pain and suffering will be gone, replaced by a paradise.
Of course this is nowhere as idyllic as the thought that our forefathers were tadpoles and that we can look forward to eternal oblivion.
I only suggest that it is worth some examination.
Perhaps you can mention a important feature or some detail that I overlooked.
