It matters to me because in another thread these words were falsely attributed to the Baha'i writings.
All those terms are used to describe homosexuality in Bahai writings. It is a fact.
Homosexuality
If you are uncomfortable with that language, then maybe Bahaism isn't right for you.

So why would it make any difference?
Are you suggesting that it is homophobic unless it is from Bahai teachings, in which case it isn't?
That would seem like some special cognitive dissonance there!

I don't see how it could not be homophobic.
Neither do I. But there are at least four people who think it isn't!
And there is a 60 page thread where a few people are defending it, claiming it is "just an opinion", etc.

The only facts are;
1/ The phrase in your OP is NOT from the Baha'i writings.
2/ The phrase was falsely attributed by you to the Baha'i writings.

Did you not read the link?
All those terms are used in Bahai writings to describe homosexuality.

If your argument is simply that the individual descriptions occur in separate sentences, well so what? It make no difference to the intent or the meaning. It is still homophobic.

"You are charged with murder, rape, arson and fraud. How do you plead?"
"But your honour, I didn't do it all on the same day! Can I go now?"

Homosexuality is an evil passion, immoral, shameful aberration, to be purged from the world.

Following a heated discussion elsewhere, I looking for opinions from others.
Thanks for helping.
Nope. I see it as ones opinion and view.

So you don't see "Black people are inferior, lazy and prone to crime" as racist, just an opinion?
So you don't see "Women are inferior, should stay at home and look after the family, shouldn't be allowed to vote" as sexist, just an opinion?
ok

Yes. It's a person's opinion and view.

While the former is just racist (though derived) the later is, like the original statement, not a personal opinion but a religious dogma.

So just to be clear, you don't believe that specific concepts like racism even exist. They are simply "opinions", that can be taken or left. No judgement. Yes?

Racism exists and people have their opinions about it.

Some agree and others disagree.

It's pretty straightforward.

So you don't consider racism to be "right" or "wrong". It's just a thing, like preferring chicken or fish.
