Quran ( 2:170) :

[SIZE=+1]170. When it is said to them: "Follow what Allh has sent down." They say: "Nay! We shall follow what we found our fathers following." (Would they do that!) Even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided?

Quran ( 7 : 70 )

70. They said: "You have come to us that we should worship Allh Alone and forsake that which our fathers used to worship. So bring us that wherewith you have threatened us if you are of the truthful."

If we use God as a tactic to further our careers, it is undoubtedly wrong. Rev. Billy Graham, for example- I believe him to be a Christian and a valuable worker for God and Jesus. However, should he plan a speaking conference, just to get some good publicity or because it's gonna be a big payday - then it is wrong. Most televangelists, I believe, tend to do what will further their name, thus using their faith and God instead of the other way around.
