islam pakistan and bin laden

we all have hard about the death of one of the most notorious of terrorist - it would be fair to say that bin laden was the most famous terrorist that ever lived - yet his death has opened a whole new chapter in Islamic history - as he has been found in the heart of Pakistan ....right next door to there biggest military base in Pakistan , so he was found in military head quarters. - so lets look at the facts

He was caught in the militia headquarters – (WOW that’s statement alone should say it all )
His house which was far bigger than any other house and had barbed wire did not raise an suspension.
His house was built in front of an army commanders house ???? HU
He lived in Pakistan for 7 years undetected by any of the military of very powerful Pakistan ISI.

i mean come on folks its clear Pakistan knew he was there - its obvious any other answer is false. When will the western governments admit -what the already know -islam is not compatible with democracy - there is no compromise – islam and democracy are like light and dark , they cannot mix with each other – do you think Pakistan knew about bin laden ?

Turkey make a reasonable shot at it,Pakistan though is a different story, who actually runs the country, the Government or the ISI,whatever they are bearing the brunt of suicide attacks.

I doubt that any religions is "compatible" with democracy. Islam is as far from Democracy as Christianity is. But then lets not forget the fact the the country that has democracy labeled as its strong point has pretty strong element of Muslims with in it. How ironic, your racist card didn't work.

And which Christian Democratic country is thriving?

If you have ever been to other country's, only then do you see how good we really have it.

I appriciate what we have here.

this does not go for or against the OP's statement, only yours.

some south american country's are doing pretty well.

in africa christians suffer with muslims hand in hand

I think OP is confusing cultural differences more then religious ones, I dont think hes %100 wrong either.

Im not educated enough to make that choice

They don't have the same problems but have problems of their own... US isn't just Christian, it's built on many different cultural and religious backgrounds.

In any case, most middle eastern countries are the way they are because of being stuck in time. I remember reading of Christians burning women just simply because they were suspected of being witches. So each religion has its own negatives. It isn't the church that saved the modern world.

My problem with your post is that you are relating political motivation with that of religious believes.

Islamic states are fundamentally different to western democratic ones.

From a western viewpoint, a Muslim state that has a bad leader and state authority, has no mechanism to change that system or leader to a better one.

A western democracy accepts the result of a regular national vote, even when it throws out a powerful leadership. Leaders rarely last more than 20 or so years, presidents rarely more than 10.

He was caught in the militia headquarters
Militia headquarters? If you are referring to "military headquarters" that's a false claim.

His house which was far bigger than any other house
Source and relevence?

and had barbed wire did not raise an suspension.
Barb wire is ubiquitious in Pakistan as it is in S. Africa.

His house was built in front of an army commanders house
You mean he lived on the same street as a retired major?

He lived in Pakistan for 7 years undetected by any of the military of very powerful Pakistan ISI.
Very powerful? What do you know of the Davis incident?

And how does any of these "facts" bear any relevance to
islam is not compatible with democracy
What an grand declaration! What do you know of the majlis ash-shura?

The Islamic political system is inherently democratic, any novice understands this

If you want to discuss Pakistan, let's see just how far of a concern religion is

Bismillah said:
Ok take Pakistan then. I would think that "superstition" is a low to non-existent reason for the continual decline of the country. I would cite a lack of competent government, aided and abetted by continual military coups, of an equally incompetent civilian government. A bureaucracy that is impossibly obsolete and corrupt and cannot ensure even the most basic duties of a ruling party outside of Peshawer. Non-existent taxes that result in a foreign dependent government, which insists on spending the majority of its money on its armed forces against the Indian threat. This fuels the vicious cycle of continuously feeding the Pakistani military while strangling the Pakistani economy by the other hand. This results in an alienated middle class that flees at the first sign of a green card and land barons who hoard their wealth, instituting in effect a feudal rulings within the government. Regular disturbances of electricity which continually stalls its industrial powerhouses such as cloth and textile production and a desperate need for water to feed its vital agricultural sector (the same sector that has been wiped out in the recent floods). Sectarian violence within Islamic factions as well as inter-religious factions, as well as ethnic tension and violence. Semi-autonomous regions that blatantly hold Islamabad in disregard and foster safe havens for the Taliban, that attacks both the puppet local government and the foreign governments that fund them. This along with one of the poorest literacy rates and anachronistic public school systems in the world ensures that the future generations will progressively decline in living standards.

No, I don't see superstition high on that list of threats for Pakistan, would you care to tell me how it is?

Compare this with the Saudi Kingdom, most likely the most "superstitious" place you can imagine. They are also unbelievably wealthy and any perceived "superstition" didn't prevent them from harnessing the oil wealth beneath their land and mass exporting it to the hands of eager capitalist nations.

So basically, this is you reasoning:

-Pakistani government knew he was there.

Conclusion: Islam is not compatible with democracy.

What kind of leap is this?
