Notably, it is not an apartheid state because Palestinian Arabs are not second class citizens the way Black South Africans were; they are, in fact, not citizens of Israel at all, but treated as foreign citizens with the same rights in Israel proper as an illegal immigrant in the contemporary US. This is a recent thing here, calling Israel that, especially given the severe treatment of Jews historically.

Apartheid is simply not in Israel's vocabulary as far as I'm concerned, and AOC is the most batty and partisan nutjob Congress person I've ever seen.
