The Israeli people are suffering, and will suffer, under a corrupt government.
Yeah, and a cretin like Pat Robertson is gonna make it all better. All hail the greatness of the Mouthpiece of God!
If Pat Robertson really speaks for God, then God's in a coma and he should have put a bit more thought into his power of attorney while he had the chance.

YES!...i like free speach in American but some people/things cough_Robertson_cough shouldn't be heard
Then_cough_don't_cough_listen.

I personally am in the camp that thinks that Robertson's a blowhard and his opinion isn't worth squat. He's got as much right to declare his stupidity to the world as anyone else though.

It's also fortuitive that he's got such a receptive audience, as stupidity is held in pretty high esteem within his flock; practically enshrined.

"We're importing Hinduism into America. The whole thought of your karma, of meditation, of the fact that there's no end of life and there's this endless wheel of life, this is all Hinduism. Chanting too. Many of those chants are to Hindu Gods -- Vishnu, Hare Krishna. The origin of it is all demonic. We can't let that stuff come into America. We've got the best defense, if you will -- a good offense." [9]

"The media challenged me. `You're not going to bring atheists into the government? How dare you maintain that those who believe the Judeo-Christian values are better qualified to govern America than Hindus and Muslims?' My simple answer is, `Yes, they are.'" [7]

Just a little interesting tidbit that isn't really related to what this discussion is about. I went to Lynchburg this week for some training, and while there went out to a burger joint with a friend. Jerry Falwel was a couple of tables over.

That's all.

I do not think Robertson is stupid. He is smart. He manupulated people's mind. He is convincing. He is charismatic. If not, how come he has such a wide audience?

He plays with issue. Unfortunately this time, he overdid it, bad judgement on his part.

I would of thrown an orange or a milkshake at him.

There weren't all that many people in the restaurant, so I probably could have gotten away with it :). I don't have any personal gripes against the man, I just don't listen to him or give him money. I thought about going over and introducing myself, but didn't. I've heard that he's actually a pretty nice guy. I worked with quite a few people that went to his school and they seemed to like him.
