It’s been fun but it’s time to move on. To be honest I’m slightly uncomfortable with becoming a regular on the forum, and having expressed my thoughts and explored various ideas I don’t want to bore the pants of everyone by continually making the same points. But it’s been enjoyable and I’ve come across some very articulate contributors here.

Of course we’re all aware that it’s a subject we are never going to fully resolve, but in one sense the questions are more important than the answers. I read an anecdote (I can’t remember the source and so I can’t credit the author) where after a long discussion on the concept of self, a worried looking student asked ‘Do I actually exist’. The lecturer replied ‘And who wants to know!’:)

Anyway, now it’s springtime and I must turn my thoughts to motorcycles and give the philosophy of religion a rest. But keep doing what you’re doing. Remember we all have something to teach and something to learn.

Regards to you all
