Jesus and his youth

Just curious, does the bible tell anything about jesus' youth, like when he was a little boy or when he was a rebellious teenager? Does it speak about periods or exact age?
And at what age did he start his speeches?

The Bible tells us as much as God wanted us to know about the life of Jesus, have a read.
Rebellious teenager?

Lk 2v40: And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
Lk 2v41: Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
Lk 2v42: And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
Lk 2v43: And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
Lk 2v44: But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
Lk 2v45: And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.
Lk 2v46: And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
Lk 2v47: And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
Lk 2v48: And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
Lk 2v49: And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

These are certain verses that stood out to me, it mentions Jesus' age too.

I think Mr Ball (hello by the way B_B) is looking for times that aren't perhaps so spoken of.

RE: Rebellious teenage years Jesus is recorded as being... well Jesus, pretty much all his life. He didn't do rebellion... apart from the whole messing up the salesmen and the money grabbers inside the temple. As for what he did during this time, I have no idea what's in the bible.

Perhaps the Gnostics have something from the omitted books of the KJV

Sorry, but what are the omitted books of the KJV?
Does this mean there are other books out there not accounted for in the Bible that we know today?

And how is it possible that Jesus stayed Jesus if his parents were not "of God" and would have sinned every day of their lives? Would Jesus have "reprimanded" them or would it be something he would have learnt himself, or would he have just overlooked it?

By rebelious I just meant a standard teenager. I asume he played with his friends just as we do. If his friends stole an apple, I don't think he will correct them and return the apple, although according to most people here he probably will :p
I was mostly interrested as people always view him as the responsible "old" Jesus, while he was young as well, I asume. I was curious what the bible would tell us about "the rest" of his life..

Everything that's not in it.

There are a collection of deutero-canonical books (after the canon) that have myths about Jesus' childhood. These are known as "the Infancy Gospels."

Simple. Jesus is who he is by the power of God and not by the sinlessness of his parents.

Seems like I vaguely remember two apocryphal stories, one, that Jesus made doves out of clay and then made them live and fly away. Two, that he pointed his finger at a bad man in town, and the man dropped dead. Don't know that those stories are either authentic or even written, but that's what I remember hearing...any thoughts?

I also like the story about how Jesus went to England with his uncle, the tinsmith and stayed during his youth. Can't prove it other than by legend, but it's a fun story for an old Anglican like me...

Not quite a bad man.

One story has the child Jesus making puddles of water, when another child comes along and splashes around destroying Jesus's puddles (as kids tend to do). Jesus's response was to cause the boy's body to shrivel up, killing him.

Later on another child accidentally bumps Jesus in the street, Jesus curses the boy who immediately falls dead. The dead boys parents complain, so Jesus blinds them.

I think later on he undoes these acts.

Read the Infancy Gospel of Thomas for the full stories BB;

The fact that there is essentially one made up story about Jesus in his youth, a story, BTW, that could simply could not be true, lends credence to the strong likelihood that the Jesus story is a myth in its entirity.

The most fun one is this fictional depiction... Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore.
