Jesus in the Qur'an and the Bible

In John when Jesus made the promise of the Comforter being sent he was speaking
to his twelve disciples
Therefore the Comforter had to come to his twelve disciples or his promise was false and he would be a liar and a false prophet.
All twelve disciples died beore 100AD.
Mohammed was not born until several hundred years latter
Therefore Mohammed cannot be the Comforter or Jesus is a false prophet

None of the Bible’s Writers Believed That Jesus is God:
All of the writers of the Bible believed that God was not Jesus. The idea that Jesus is God did not become part of Christian belief until after the Bible was written, and took many centuries to become part of the faith of Christians.
Matthew, Mark, and Luke, authors of the first three Gospels, believed that Jesus was not God (see Mark 10:18 and Matthew 19:17). They believed that he was the son of God in the sense of a righteous person. Many others too, are similarly called sons of God (see Matthew 23:1-9).

All true. But you still need to deal with how it was he was "in form of God." We know one cannot be both a thing, AND a formj of the thing at the same time. So how do you understand it that Jesus was not God, but was "being in form of God." [NOTE: "form" is not articulated in Phil 2, therefore it is not "THE form of God" that is under consideration.

Hi there.

The understanding of the promised comforter is lost in centuries of misstating the issue. Look at what Paul told the Christians - "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." [Rom 15:4]

Paul is referencing the old testament scriptures and calls them a source of comfort. We are told of another comforter who will come and "guide you into all the truth." This is the New Covenant scriptures. How do I know? Because the scriptures are the written account, while the logos is the concept about which the reema expresses things. And the Holy Spirit, which was promised, IS THE REEMA.

Now, look at what Paul tells us about the Holy SPirit and Reema:
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the reema [word] of God:" [Eph 6:13-17]

"Which" is an adjective modifying "Spirit," not sword. The sword is comprised of the spirit, the reema of God.

When we read the scriptures in the approximate order in which they were written, God will guide us into all truth. When we read the scriptures our of order, we learn only doctrines and creeds of men.:yes:

Mohammed brought a sword to the world, not comfort. And the reema is the promised comforter. You don't see the difference?
