Why do a number of people consider Jesus a God, when he's actually a demigod?
Demigods were not unusual at the time given ancient Greek and Roman stories had a number of them.
Jesus can't have been God anyways in light that that he was the offspring from a human merger between God and Mary producing Jesus.
Agree/disagree?
Nowhere Man,
Jesus was not a demigod!!! This is a word made up by man, and the only time this actually happened was recorded in Genesis 6:1,2,4. The offspring of the mating of women and materialized angles were called Nephilim. These were huge and brutal men, called fellers, which means they killed men, but it is recorded in ancient Jewish history that they also killed wild beasts that posed a threat to people.
The reason that Jesus was not a demigod was because Jesus was not a New life, God took his essence, and put this into Mary and caused it to produce Jesus as a human on earth.
The Bible, in several places calls Jesus a man, and the Bible never says anything about him being partly god and partly man, Romans 5:12-15, 1Corinthians 15:20,21,45,46.
Something very important to remember; Jesus came to earth to give his life for all who would believe in him, John 3:16. Jesus was a corresponding Ransom, a perfect Man, so that we could gain back what Adam lost for us, Perfect life, endless life. Adam was perfect, but he became imperfect when he sinned against God, Jesus was that second Adam, a perfect Man, that because of his Great Sacrifice we, who believe in him and follow him can live forever, just as Adam could have, 1Corinthians 15:45-47, 1 Timothy 2:4-5.
Jesus was not a demigod, and he was not an incarnation!!! The only time that Jesus could be called an incarnation was after his death, when he appeared to his disciples,1Corinthians 15:3-9. Jesus was a perfect Man, just as Adam was a perfect Man, and Jesus received the Anointing from God, His Father at his Baptism, Matthew 3:16,17, Luke 3:21-23. Agape!!!
