Jesus is not God

christians say that jesus died on the cross, if so, he is not god for god cannot die.

this is just one point, I might discuss other points as the thread progresses.

Jesus didn't 'die' on the cross. He lives forever at the right hand of the Father (symbolically).

The death on the cross was a symbol of dying to the carnal self and being resurrected to the Divine self, the Christ, which we are all also, yes there was no true crucifixion of Jesus, but then, to me he never truly existed, the whole story was a metaphor for our transformation, from the carnal to our true Self the Christ, that's my religion.

Clowns,

You do realize this isn't a "debate" board and that what we are doing here is comparing our beliefs.

As a Baha'i I don't believe Jesus is God but His martyrdom is something you perhaps could explore ...

"He loved even His enemies and prayed in the hour of His crucifixion for those who killed Him."

~ Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 8

Great Beings have sacrificed Their lives and offered Themselves for the good of humanity..

We Baha'is believe Jesus advanced toward the cross and accepted the pain and agony of the crucifixion... His body was horribly tortured and abused...but His Spirit was offered up to God and His Spirit we believed continued... They could not kill His Spirit.

Jesus isn't real. If you think that Santa, ie, satan, really brings gifts on the eve of the solstice ,then we are talking.

so you believe that god can become the devil?!
I'm not a Christian, but yes - because biblically there is no Devil with a pitchfork how modern folk picture it and Yahweh God is the creator of both good and evil. So yeah, in a sense you could say that.
