Jesus' Odd Request

So just what is it that those responsible for his crucifixion don't know that deserves forgiveness?

My question wasn't who didn't know, but what they did, but aren't aware of, that deserves forgiveness.

After all, they're doing exactly what Jesus and god needed and expected all along.
.
I realized I made that mistake....I looked at your question again before I posted.....but then I noticed the Scripture I put down, at John 3:1-2, answered it: that the religious leaders knew Jesus "was from God". The soldiers didn't really know, until after he had died.
Remember, the one soldier after seeing the skies grow dark, then the Earth quaked....he said, "Certainly this was God's Son."?

Jesus was put on earth to save humanity
John is made up...

Yeshua came to set a Snare, lay a Curse on mankind, Divorce Judah, and bring in the Lost Sheep of Israel.

It is the exact opposite of came to save humanity, he came to test mankind, and only keep that which is Godly at the end of it.

Look at it like this, many people agree to they murdered Salvation, and thus they have very little respect for God.
Jesus knew this could only be accomplished by giving up his life; he predicted his death.
Yeshua knew what was prophesied, that by his death (Zechariah 11); Judah would be cut off (Luke 19:41-44).
However, at the moment of crucifixion Jesus says.
Luke 23:34

And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do
Because just like people now, they have no clue what prophecy actually stated; they're all looking for free gifts, and not reading the small print.
So just what is it that those responsible for his crucifixion don't know that deserves forgiveness?

After all, they're doing exactly what Jesus and god had expected of them.
Tho they did do what was prophesied in Isaiah 53; it is a test to see who follows the Law, and by even committing such a crime, it shows they had no respect for the Law.

That they thought they'd get atonement from it, and yet Yeshua challenged the Sanhedrin for murdering the prophets as atoning sacrifices in Matthew 23:27-38, Mark 7:1-13, and the Parable of the Wicked Husbandman (Matthew 21:33-46, Mark 12:1-12, and Luke 20:9-19).

Thus from that moment onward anyone who thinks it was acceptable to murder an Arch Angel for atonement deserves forgiveness, as they really don't know what they're doing...

According to the Parable of the Wicked Husbandmen, those who think they get inheritance from the death of Yeshua shall be condemned by God.

In my opinion. :innocent:

Discussing religions other than Judaism, it's not.

my point was exactly that. jesus christ himself told his followers they were not allowed to change a iota or a dot of the jewish law. and today most of them don't even know what the jewish law is. come on, that's funny.

Part of the Jewish law was to use hebrew terms in other languages?

Jesus was put on earth to save humanity, or as much of it as he could
John 6:35 & 38-40

35 Jesus said to them . . .38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

Luke 19:10
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Jesus knew this could only be accomplished by giving up his life; he predicted his death.
Matthew 20:17-19

17 Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, 18 “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death 19 and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”

Mark 10:32-34

32 They were on their way up to Jerusalem, with Jesus leading the way, and the disciples were astonished, while those who followed were afraid. Again he took the Twelve aside and told them what was going to happen to him. 33 “We are going up to Jerusalem,” he said, “and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles, 34 who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise.”

It's quite easy to understand, If a person understood the three earth ages. But then the bible wasn't written for everyone, The bible was written for and intended for God's elect and very elect people. To give them instructions how to over come the things during the tribulation.

You don't think murder deserves forgiveness? Yes God knew what they would do and it was part of his plan, but that doesn't change the fact it was murder of someone innocent. And they did a lot more than just kill him, they tortured him.

The Bible was written for everyone.

It's not God's will that any should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth. It's for whosoever will. He is no respecter of persons.

among jesus' requests the one i never understood is this:
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished"

so why aren't christians circumcised? why don't they comply with the mitzvot?

He didn't abolish the law, he lived it, and measured up to it, and fulfilled it. Once something is fulfilled is it still required?

If you had a prophecy that said you were going to do something. Once that had been completed, it would no longer be required.

We are now under a new covenant. (or contract if you will) The things under the old covenant are no longer required of us, unless they happen to be something that is still included in the new covenant.

realizing a pending situation doesn't mean all the players are in on the plan

wasn't much of a plan anyway

the Passover is the highest Sabbath on the Jewish calender
heading straight to the temple
with His ministry driving Him......
He suspected His own compulsion

He would clear the temple

and the crowd would turn on Him
the priests would turn on Him
the Romans would go for Him

the people simply played to the nature of what they are

that leads to hell

so yeah.....they knew not what they were doing

kinda like forgiving a street gang that kicked your ***

The crucifiers felt they were killing a person, a seditionist of some type, not the divine God.

Well if the bible was written for everyone as you say, Then why can't Everyone understand what is written in the Bible, it's evidence you don't even know the bible yourself.

Murder is the unlawful killing of another human. The crucifixion was not against the law. Don't want to recognize the law? Fine, but as long as it's not against the law of the land you have no case for murder.
