Jewish Atheists?

Shouldn't you be outside communing with the flora and fauna of the U.P.?
You betcha!

BTW, a moose (cow) ran by our place about three weeks ago, and on the same day we saw a bull moose a bit later when returning from a friend's house near us. Last week a doe ran by our place, and a couple of days later a wolf was just up the hill across from us.

Now, if you were to run by our place, that probably would be all the wild life we could handle for this summer.

.

You'll never get a minyan if the members of your congregation keep dropping by one at a time on different days!

But I betcha my minyan is much better looking and smarter than yours, especially since I'm their rabbi. Getting them to sit down and listen to me is a real problem though, especially since their #1 question is does a bear really s**t in da woods?

Do you want the midrash in Beresh-i-t Rabbah that will answer their question?

Undoubtedly due to the fact that they cannot be used to our sophistimicated humor.

Atheist means 'No belief in God' , the "Jews" believe in the God(s) of the Torah as well as believing that this God(s) created a Land agreement with themselves 4000 years ago to claim the Land of Canaan .

Jewish Atheist is an Oxymoron.

Jew(Yehudi ) is the 'יְהוּדִי' is a patronymic form of 'יְהוּדָה' (Yehud ) similar to how Canaanite(כְּנַעֲנִי) is a patronymic form of כְּנַעַן (Caanan).

Should people by claiming they are 'Canaanites' in the 21st Century, where are the living Canaanites today?

Judea was a Roman province and the people living in this region where known as 'Iudaeans' ( cos they lived in Judea, not because they subscribed to a particular cult) but in 135 CE, the province of Iudaea was merged with Syria forming 'Syria Palaestine' and so 'Iudeans' became 'Palestinians'

Syria-Palaestine (Greek) equates to Israel-Philistia in Hebrew.

The term 'Jew' which doesn't even have the D in the name came way later, it's pretty much meaningless.
