Jewish Messianic Prophecies, Jesus, and Bahá’u’lláh

Greetings to all of you!

I'm facing a huge dilemma. I grew up all my life as a Christian, but lately, I've begun to doubt that Jesus was the Messiah and the idea of any Second Coming.

This question is for Jews, Christians, and Bahá’ís:

Jews:

What are your prophecies relating to the Messiah?

Christians:

Why do you believe that Jesus fulfilled those prophecies? If he doesn't then doesn't the idea of a Second Coming become null and void?

Bahá’ís:

How can you justify the claim that Bahá’u’lláh fulfills both of the above, especially if Jesus didn't the first time around?

Thank you so much in advance.

Do you believe in Psychics? you are implying people in the past had psychic knowledge of the future and cryptically wrote them down , the stupidity of people in this world is immense.

Baha'is believe Jesus was the Jewish Messiah, though clearly didn't fulfil all the prophecies.

I would recommend before you fully investigate how Baha'u'llah fulfils all the prophecies, consider how Christ fulfils some of the prophecies. That will provide a framework for understanding why the Jews rejected Christ and the Christians believe He is the Messiah. It lays the foundation for better understanding who Baha'u'llah is.

Its useful to keep in mind that the issue of prophecy between Jews and Christians is a well worn topic on RF and can be extremely contentious. I haven't started any threads about prophecy as they often cause more heat than light.

Abdu'l-Baha's some answered questions is a good starting point for understanding Christian topics from a Baha'i perspective.

From this site:

"Before the time of the mashiach, there shall be war and suffering (Ezekiel 38:16)

The mashiach will bring about the political and spiritual redemption of the Jewish people by bringing us back to Israel and restoring Jerusalem (Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 23:8; 30:3; Hosea 3:4-5). He will establish a government in Israel that will be the center of all world government, both for Jews and gentiles (Isaiah 2:2-4; 11:10; 42:1). He will rebuild the Temple and re-establish its worship (Jeremiah 33:18). He will restore the religious court system of Israel and establish Jewish law as the law of the land (Jeremiah 33:15)."

The Old Testament is written in past-tense, thus contains no prophecies, people just use them for there own geopolitical gain.

Jesus didn't do any of that...

Heyyyyyy....no secrets around me. :p
Sorry, but the dissemination of such information is strictly restricted to two groups of people: Levites and those both willing and able to do some minimal research before asking dumb and/or broad ranging question.

I suppose the question is rather idiotic, Jay.:confused:

The link that @rosends posted, I read through since I asked. I've become convinced that neither Jesus nor Bahá’u’lláh were the Jewish Messiah, and that the latter was not the Second Coming, as such an idea contradicts the Jewish conception of the Moshiach. :(

It takes mere seconds to google "jewish messianic prophecies" and acquire links such as

A bit of personal history ...

My father was a blue collar worker who worked two jobs to make ends meet, yet managed to put aside enough money to purchase the Encyclopedia Britannica along with its Encyclopedia Britannica Jr. and Great Books of the Western World.
