Jews are preparing to re-build the temple - Training centre for priests

Biblical prophecy regardig the temple will be fullfilled when the third temple is rebuilt. And now the jews are building a training centre for future priests. Not only that, but the manufacture of the Harps of David used in the temple is well underway.

Preparing for Service in the Rebuilt Temple - Jewish World - Israel News - Israel National News

According to once source the training centre is for preparing descendants of the Kohanim, the priests, and the Levites for service in this next temple. These Jewish leaders have established a training centre where temple priests can learn exactly how to conduct the daily temple services and offer the required sacrifices as dictated by the Jewish laws from the Biblical book of Leviticus.

There is just one technical glitch. The temple would have to occupy the Temple Mount. However, the Temple Mount is a hot spot for trouble between Muslims and Jews.

Temple Mount clashes prompt U.N. plea

Some say that the rebuilding of the temple is only a rumour. Well, what's the point of building a training centre if there is no intention to build a temple.. But Benjamin Netanyahu is calling the rebuilding of the temple only rumours....

Bibi: Don't Believe 'Lies' That Israel Is Digging Under Temple Mount – Forward.com

In any event the training centre is there to equipt priests..... would be really odd if they dressed up and had nowhere to go...ever.

Do you think that the isreali prime minister (Benjamin) is telling the truth?
What do you think about attempts to build a new temple?

The dome of the rock is on the temple mount. And the Alaksa (sp?) mosque is nearby. And there's a christian cathedral just down the road too. Jerusalem is the epicenter of holy lands in the abrahamic world. If this is a planned literal rebuilding, war will result for sure. However, in my research, it seems that a Jewish rule over the territory of the mount would probably result in sharing with the christians and muslims to some degree. The muslims have wreaked havoc over jewish sites in jerusalem over the last decades. They even turned jewish cemetaries into latrines. They literally purposely defecated on jewish graves. I don't know that war isn't inevitable already, but if this temple rebuilding thing is a real intention, I hear "kaboom" in the distance.

It seems to me that the "news" is that a school in Jerico (?) is planning to build a replica of the temple on school grounds.

The Dome of the Rock isn't going anywhere.

There are some impressive replica's around already. El Escorial was constructed from a plan based on the descriptions of Solomon's temple. The temple is in spain.

There are a few temples as I'm sure you are aware of. I wonder which one they would most likely want to replicate? (Though i'm thinking they should all have the same blueprint)

  1. The TABERNACLE OF MOSES (First Temple) – Exodus 15:17-18 - in the Song of Moses. The instructions for its construction are found in Exodus 25-40 – 25:8 – “and let them make Me a Sanctuary that I may dwell among them.”
  2. The TEMPLE OF SOLOMON (Second Temple) - II Chronicles 3:1 – This temple was destroyed in 586 BC by Babylon – II Chronicles 36:18-19 – “and they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire.”
  3. The RESTORED TEMPLE (Third Temple) was built under the protection of Persia and the preaching of Haggai and Zechariah and the leadership of Zerubbabel and Joshua – Ezra 5:1-2
  4. HEROD’S TEMPLE (Fourth Temple) – project of King Herod – usually referred to as the Second Temple – destroyed as Jesus predicted in 70 AD – Matthew 24:1-2; Luke 21:20-24
As far as the dome of the rock not going anywhere.....I guess time will tell. As it usually does. Besides....bombs do seem to replace things though not necessarily for the purpose of building a temple.:D But it could help.

I think you could be quite right. Could the following scripture be alluding to this fact?
(Daniel 9:27 and Revelations 11:2)

“But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles; and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.”

I suspect the similarity between prophecy and reality (if it even exists) is purely co-incidental.

I found this interesting:

Between 1948 and 1967, when Jordanian authorities refused permission to Jews to enter the Old City of Jerusalem, Jews made pilgrimages to rooftops on Mount Zion and prayed towards the site of the ancient Holy of Holies.

From Dome of the Rock - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The spot that is the Holy of Holies (for the jews) is the same spot that the muslim dome of the rock is on. The dome of the rock is where Mohammed is said to have ascended. The dome is built over the rock where the jews think the holy of holies were, and if I understand the situation correctly its where the foundations stone of the temple is.

I couldnt help but think about this scripture in the bible when I read about the jews on rooftops:

Mark 15:18

15Let no one on the roof of his house go down or enter the house to take anything out. 16Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. 17How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 18Pray that this will not take place in winter, 19because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now--and never to be equaled again.

If the jews should find themselves on rooftops for the sake of praying again.....there could be trouble. But that would mean they have been denied access to places they use to have access to. On the other hand, jews might hang out on roofs in general, that would be odd.

Not true. The messiah was to rebuild the 3rd temple. By rebuilding it themselves they're giving up the messiah prophicies for good. Plus the temple was supposed to build built on the holiest of holy places, which if I'm not mistaken is not under Isreal's controll currently. If they plan to build there then they must be planning a massive war wth the muslims.
