Sounds like the best compliment for an honest politician. If you hate them they're probably doing bad things, if you love them they're probably just good liars but if you're not sure, they can't be doing anything terrible but also not selling themselves as perfect.

He seemed to fit in nicely between Blair and Brown, and came across as more honest perhaps. Three wise monkeys comes to mind. RIP.
