I take it then that you do not consider the Bible as authentic and prefer Josephus' writings over it

Authentic is not up for debate, and context of what authentic is, you have not stated.

First of all the gospels were not written by eyewitnesses, nor anyone that ever knew or met or heard Jesus.

YOUR speaking of apologetic rhetoric, not anything historical with credibility.

You need to study history at a university, if YOU want to know what is real and what is not real in text.

I happen to believe the Biblical record

You cannot, the writing contradicts itself.

What you really mean is you choose to interpret it anyway you wish despite what is known with certainty on the subject in academia.

When people do this they cheapen the text with a shallow out of context understanding of what the unknown authors were trying to do.

I consider original text and authorized translations to be authentic.

I give revelation more credibility than some academician without a clue as to the meaning or purpose of the gospel.

I have studied at college thank you and consider what most universities teach as socialist propaganda.

Are you an academician wishing to be heard? Sorry, I'm busy.

Well we don't care what you think or consider.

Can you provide credible sources on what exactly is an authorized translation????????

Literal interpretations cheapen and ruin the beauty, and YOU have no clue about the meaning and purpose I see, and you don't.

But you have not studied the NT at a credible university.

You have no clue of what a scholar does or knows do you?

Do you even know what socialist propaganda is? because I'm factually not promoting anything of the sort.

Annoyingly Progressive Since 2006
Christians believe Jesus is divine and some believe he is part of some trinity.

Jesus followed John the baptist and had John the Baptist baptize him in the River Jordan.

What sins was John the baptist washing away from God? Why does God need to be baptised to enter the Kingdom of heaven?

This Christian stuff is so crazy?
Jesus (according to the doctrine of the Trinity) is also fully human, and human beings are in a fallen state.
