Judge gives man ultimatum: Get COVID vaccine or violate probation

People.

Please get the friggin vaccine, and quit talking about it.

I had to wear a mask again today because of the stupids.

How many people would be walking around with crutches or not walking in a wheelchair today,
if people were so idiotic 60 years ago?

You had to wear a mask again today because of variants that are being brought in from other countries that even the vaccinated can catch, spread and even carry a similar viral load as the unvaccinated.

Most people are never going to get that bad. Vaccinated or not.

Luckily, I didn't fall ill by being infected by C.O.V.I.D.-19, it did not even phase me one bit. However, my then wife got pretty sick from catching C.O.V.I.D.-19 by me. Fortunately, she did make a full recovery at home without having to be hospitalized . Unfortunately, my 75 year old mother was hospitalized for five days with C.O.V.I.D.-19, which I suspect has permanently scared her lungs. Unfortunately, too many people are not naturally well immune against C.O.V.I.D.-19. I'd like to please urge everybody to get vaccinated. I don't want anybody else to live with the guilt of having spread C.O.V.I.D.-19 to their loved ones.

Mine was like a mild cold for 3-4 days and that was it.

Uh huh.

I went to the mall, and there were some cows flying by overhead.

On July 27, 2021, CDC released updated guidance on the need for urgently increasing COVID-19 vaccination coverage and a recommendation for everyone in areas of substantial or high transmission to wear a mask in public indoor places, even if they are fully vaccinated. CDC issued this new guidance due to several concerning developments and newly emerging data signals. First is a reversal in the downward trajectory of cases. In the days leading up to our guidance update, CDC saw a rapid and alarming rise in the COVID case and hospitalization rates around the country.

Second, new data began to emerge that the Delta variant was more infectious and was leading to increased transmissibility when compared to other variants, even in vaccinated individuals.

We were pretty fortunate not to get sick or only a mild illness from C.O.V.I.D.-19. Too bad I failed to realize C.O.V.I.D.-19 had infected me and I was spreading this very contagious disease.

Sorry to hear that. I don't go around many people at all.

I'm not against the vaccine per say. Those in high risk category are probably better off getting the vaccine rather than risk the virus itself. Even I would recommend it, but would advise seeing your doctor to determine risk factors givin it's an emergency use remedy.

I myself might take it. I'm high risk , but my blood type is favorable.

It's all about knowing your body and peace of mind either way one decides.

Judicial over-reach is the province of judges dealing with parolees & probationers. These are people who need & get external micro-management in their lives.
I suspect judicial over-reach also happens when courts strike down laws, too often by "reading in" to constitutions or charters of rights what are not explicitly there.

On the other hand, it is precisely that process by which marriage equality was achieved in Canada. Imagine, if you can, how conflicted that makes me.

Actually, the Constitution specifically says we have rights
that aren't enumerated. So reading in new rights is proper.
What I dislike is when they read "out" rights that it specifically
grants, eg, the right to a jury trial.

Twas a proper ruling to OK gay marriage here,
ie, recognizing a non-enumerated right.

make it mandatory for anyone on social security being the elders are most at risk

I'm conflicted in the freedom of choice versus societal emergency justifying imposing what is best for all on everyone. Martial law is an example of an emergency suspension of rights to preserve a society. Is this pandemic that? I don't know.

I'd like all non violent drug offenses pardoned
