Is anyone here planning on ordering any junk food tonight?

I'm going to order some fried chicken and a kebab later today

Because I'm a grown man and can eat whatever crap I want no matter how unhealthy o_O

The way I see it I am here on this Earth to have a good time, not to be some kind of health fanatic, where's the fun in that?

Maybe I should have read your post before going to the gym and cooking a wonderful meal with real ingredients that I picked myself. Too late to go back now

I'm vegan plush fish and eggs for Lent.

There is a vegan burger at Maccas though.

I won't be having it!

Yesterday was my day for gremlin mode. Had order in pizza for lunch and greasy comforting Chinese food for dinner. Today I'll have some cereal for lunch and then a group of friends and I are going for Ethiopian food tonight. :D

Diabetes and heart disease aren't fun
Already have Diabetes, it's under control and doesn't bother me

And I don't care about heart disease, so it would mean a few trips to the hospital and some pills, so what? I already have high blood pressure

Everyone has to die sometime and I'm not too bothered

To be honest I would be annoyed if I live more than perhaps 15 more years

So I may as well indulge in the things I find pleasurable in that short time

Hopefully reincarnation is a thing and is ironic, which would mean in any future life I would be nice and lean, like my friend who eats exactly 1,800 calories a day and plays tennis

He's a really cool guy

I knew a guy who ate 9 wheaties per day. He worked out, too. He looked great. But what he did was not healthy at all...

He'd get praised on his physique, and it was assumed he was healthy due to his appearance. But no one would have encouraged him if they'd have known what he was doing.

On the other side, I've known heavy set people with a good balanced diet and exercise routine that remain in a larger shape due to genetics. They don't get praised, and if they mention a diet, they get encouraged(even if their calories are already limited).

I find this unfortunate.

Yep. The widespread eating disorders among outwardly healthy looking people (and people trying their hardest to get there), both men and women, is not something our society likes to talk about. The socially popular look of peak fitness is very much unsustainable for most people, and unhealthy. So many bodybuilders have told me they were at their most severe symptoms when at their peak performance.

It's the danger of assuming we can judge health by appearance alone.

The nearest pizza machine (no staff, just guy goes in once a week to restock the machine) is 10km away. No delivery. Other than that we're talking 25km, again no delivery.

So it's easier to make my own junk food, (pizza, burgers etc) using fresh ingredients and cooked as we like them, tastes much better.

We used to have a fish and chip van call into the village once a month and a pizza van every Saturday but COVID got them both.

I have never heard of a Pizza machine before!

Is that like a cash machine, but with Pizza?

Does it serve them hot or do you have to heat them yourself?

Drop €10 into the machine, select from a menu, your choice is automatically made for you and cooked. About 3 or 4 minutes later your pizza drops onto the slot.

That is the most amazing thing ever!

I want to petition my town council to install one near where I live!

But are the pizzas that it dispenses any good?

Orthorexia is a huge problem and it's in both sexes. It's far too rarely talked about.

I want to move to Shetland, there are roadside cake fridges!

My mother lives in the countryside

Some weirdo who lives on a farm near her has erected a kind of wardrobe full of cakes, that you can take if you leave them some money

We suspect they most probably contain certain bodily fluids and maybe even poison

And there is no telling what kind of conditions they are prepared in
