I think a lot of it depends on whether you are a 'spiritual person' by nature or more of a black and white scientific type. Do you only accept what can be proved or do you have the feeling that something is out there?
Okay then. Good start. Why do you think your feeling is right? Here is the thing: I look at the ancient Egyptian Gods and I feel something there. I'm not quite sure what it is. But I feel something in me that says, "The truth lies with them." I feel good when I see those gods. I feel a connection with the god Ra. God of the sun. And by the way, this is not something I'm pulling out of my ***.
But then I think, do I go act on this feeling? My first answer is no. But, the feeling is still there. It is not just a fascination with ancient culture. It is something more. I have no reason for it being there, or at least not that I can think of, and it tugs at my heart
My question to you is this: Should I follow this feeling? Should I worship these gods? Despite what you might think, this is a serious question.
Oh, and please tell me if I seem close-minded, and please tell me how I am doing so. I wish to obliterate that from myself.

I know about the quote button. My earlier posts were meant to be as broad as possible.
Welcome to the RF!
I believe what I do because I believe what I do. I was agnostic until I was nearly 18.
Okay, but there still must be a reason, be it faith, logic, experience, etc
