Yes, fair enough, and my comments should have been clearer. But what is the point of any advocates - unless equal to God - when God supposedly knows everything about us anyway - even if we don't. If Jesus is taking on this role then surely it is just God talking to Himself.
This is one of the points that my beliefs differ from Evangelical Conservatives. IMO, if Jesus was God incarnate, we humans were jipped in having "a Savior." Of course "God" could achieve perfection even in a worldly life, but an ordinary human? That's the miracle of Jesus. That's the saving grace. The "proof" it can be done! He discovered and then taught The Way. So being the firstborn of the dead, the first to return to the Father sanctified to perfection, he would stand as our advocate not to explain to God, but to explain to us, why we must go back and try again. Yep, I'm a reincarnation believer. A try, try, try again universalist.

The solution to our imperfection is forgiveness. And that is the revelation that Jesus brought to us. That as we love and forgive those who offend us, so, in turn, will we be loved and forgiven.
