Just some questions/thoughts.

Alex, one important thing that some(though maybe not all, but certainly a lot) christians believe about their religion is not just that the truths of the church are infallible, but that they are INEXHAUSTIBLE.

Unfortunately, most of the same questions have not gotten much farther than the basic beliefs of christianity by following the scriptures. There just doesn't seem to be that much depth to the lessons coming out of scripture.

But there is depth to meaning period.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, you are choosing your beliefs based on your anxiety to want to be "mainstream". There's a lesson in that: When you stop pondering, stop questioning, you won't know any more. People say they all ready know the truth.

No they don't. The truth is an ocean of lessons. And for those of you who are christians, God put you here to grow. Not to read a book and claim to have all the answers.

Also, I'm a little confused. If you are not christian, are you allowed to post in these forums? I saw one guy say he'd take his post down if someone else told him to. Does that mean atheists are not allowed to put their perspectives here? I'm not mocking. I just want to know so I can follow the rules.

Now, I am not an atheist. But it would be a shame for me to have to remove this post, because this is honest. I feel as long as an argument is honest, it should be saved from censorship. Still, I can't go agains the administrators. So someone PM me with what's the deal.

Thank you. Cacafire

I read the Bible often and don't claim to have any answers lol. I disagree strongly with how you look at us but it is your belief I suppose. You can post here as long as it's not distrupting to other users or forums. I guess it's at the moderator's disgression.

Hi Cacafire....

I actually have no anxiety about being accepted or whatnot. I've always been my own mind and pride myself on not being influenced by the actions of the masses.

Christian or not, I completely and totally agree with you. I'm just a pathetic little college student who doesn't know where he's going. How can I claim to know the truth already? I can believe certain things, but I am here to learn, not to preach. Honestly, I am simply on a pursuit for truth and knowledge. I am at a relatively early stage in my life, and thus think that I have A LOT more in front of me to learn and to understand. I absolutely concur with you that God put us here to grow--not to condemn and chastise, like you see a lot of times.

So, as for now, I am just a foolish teenager looking for answers. And I intend to look for answers, re-evaluate old ones, and discover new questions throughout my life.

I appreciate your input. I suppose the OP question was directed at "Christians", but I am glad that you chose to answer and provide constructive input. As long as you're not way off base and distract from the intent of the thread, then you are more than welcome to post in here. :D

AlexWylde is a lot like me. A random teenager looking for answers, he is even older than me being a college student. I am a Senior in High School. :D I, at least personally, have no room to preach at anyone because I havn't learned enough yet and probably never will. Be wary of people who try to preach ideals at you because its more of their personal flavoring on things as opposed to "fact. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I actually bet we're the same age. I skipped a grade:drool:. You might even be older than me!

There are varied beliefs in the community of Christians.

And certainly not all swallow the trinity myth.

The important thing is to go to God in prayer and ask to receive understanding of the scriptures. Ask that you be taught with wisdom and knowledge what God wants you to know. God will answer this prayer.

Presumably he answers it both for those who hold to the trinity and those who don't.
