kundalini arousal

I hope this is the right forum. Can anyone give insight into diagnosing premature kundalini arousal and the best way for someone to get back balanced and focused? Thank you all for sharing!

There is no premature kundalini, from my point of view. If you are resisting a transformation, the mind may very well interpret it that way.

Can I ask what is a transformation exactly.
Not many are responding on this subject. Is it taboo to talk about?

I see transformation as a purely inner experience that is difficult to put into words that are universally applicable to others. When you see that the totality of your life experience is self-created, this is a moment of transformation. In theistic terms, I would say that it is the same as realizing, beyond thought, that everything is God. This is really a question of receptivity to 'all' perceived phenomena.

I know exactly what you are saying.I have come to an understanding of an ability that to be honest is quite scary.
Can I ask what religion you practice? You mention Being as your religion and I am starting to believe that" Being" is the ultimate peace by letting go of all thoughts and feelings.I have always been a theist and I know nothing about these other practices of religion.

If I have a religion, it would most closely resemble Zen Buddhism or Taoism as both view Truth as inherently fleeting or changing and that spirituality is like riding the crest of a rolling wave. Scariness happens when life forces an individual to change, when life no longer allows you to live in your current delusion.

Not taboo WalknTune, but it is probably safe to say that there are very few posters here at RF who have experienced Kundalini arousal yet to actually respond with confidence.

Apart from which, the responses of TurkeyOnRye have been excellent IMHO so that explains my 'silence'. :)

Interesting because I have related to so much truth to a few on here from both of these religions. Thanks for the info.

Well, I just came by this thread, so that explains my silence.

That being said, TOR is as usual explaining things spot on to what I've experienced.

Thanks for everyone's responses. I feel way more grounded and more assured of my faith as I keep releasing my desire to be in control. For awhile I was unable to feel stress or any kind of emotions and only operated out of consciousness. It started when I learned a tecnique of releasing on things instead of letting them bother me.I kept doing this and was getting higher and higher up in a state of beingness. Once I tried to stop it I realised I couldn't and I became more and more resistant to it. So now i have learned that letting go of resistance is the way back.

Do not be afraid by your kundalini. It is a very very positive thing. It is the first step to awakening your chakras in your spine and brain. You should learn from a teacher that knows a kundalini meditation. I suggest Kriya Yoga taught by Paramahansa Yogananda. I can give you a site if you so desire.

I'm not very fond of this advice. First, because I don't think chakras have a very valid or practical existence, especially considering the person, which admittedly I know very little about. Secondly, I think a person should learn from those whose words ring true to the listener, but nobody, and I mean NOBODY'S words should preclude what one feels deep down. One needs to find out for themselves. At the moment, I would recommend continuing exploration. It seems clear that Walkntune is still very much interested in exploration and learning, and I am therefore not quick to handout very textured advice as I'm sure he has enough to chew on for the moment. As far as suggestions go, simple breathing meditation and contemplation of the implications of the physical body should be plenty.

What exactly is Kundalini Arousal? I just now came across this term and now I am really curious.

At the bottom of the spine there is a center or Chakra called the Muladhara. In that chakra is a lot of dormant energy. It has sometimes been called a coiled serpent. Threw meditation one can "uncoil" this snake, or get this energy to rise and illuminate the other chakras. When the pure energy reaches the highest chakra, the Sahasrara Chakra, which is pure Consiciousness, Enlightenment or realization occurs. This Pure Energy is called Kundalini.

Someone please correct me if I got something wrong.

Interesting. I really know next to nothing about chakras and such but I think I somewhat understand what you are saying. If could please explain again in much easier to understand terminology, it would be greatly appreciated.

No problem :)

At the base of your spine there is alot of energy, thats the best way to explain it, its just pure energy. That energy is just sitting there at the base of your spine, inactive. Threw different forms of meditation and other practices, you can "activate" that energy and bring it up the spine. When this is happening your whole being becomes energied and negativities are burned away. When this energy reaches the top of the head, or the crown of your head, that results in Enlightenment. The top of your head is said to be where pure consciousness is located.

You can bring this energy upward threw Meditation, Breathing Techniques, threw Bodily Postures, and Devotion.

Yes Kriya Yoga will do this for you! :)

I noticed your religion says your thinking about Kriya. Are you still unsure about getting into it?

No, Friend Kriya Yogi, I am not unsure about getting into it. I have delved into its philosophy for a few days and each day that goes by it is stronger with me. I now accept it as my path. There is something so beautiful about it, its non-sectarian and incorperates the teachings of the Gita and the Bible, the teachings of Krishna and Jesus are some of the purest teachings to have ever been spoken on earth.

But can I say that it is my religion without being initiated?
