Sign up here to start learning a language. List the language you want to learn, and hopefully, someone else will want the same language. We will work entirely off of the internet, and everything will be free.

People learning the same language can support each other, provide links of interest, and give a competetive atmosphere.

Well, modern Hebrew, I guess, it's the language I'm studying...and Latin would be quite cool. I have a teacher who knows some, I'm sure I could use him for a referrence.

That and Sindarin. But if any one else so much as knows what that is, a) right on, and b) you have too much time on your hands :p

Is Sindarin the language that was supposed to have been a "common language" but is now dead?

Sindarin is elvish, one of the elvish toungues invented by Tolkien. I've studied some of it, and Noldorin, but that was a long time ago. I would love to learn latin too. And korean (I only know martial arts phrases).

Standing, I have quite a few links to sites with Sindarin dictionaries, but they're on my other computer. ;) I'll try to dig them out for you.

I can't see anyone wanting to learn danish/nordic(Scandinavia), but if there is, ill help. And Sindarin would be a little LoTR fan-ish, but that would be awesome to learn.

I know one Korean phrase.....lol (Cho-ri-ka.....it means, "Go away" or "Shoo")

As far as literary languages, let's learn the one spoken by the rabbits in Watership Down. Now that was a cool language!

Hey Druidus,
The first language I wrote in was Finnish (wanted to see if there were any natives).
And I can definitely help people with Latin!

By the way, to all insterested in learning Sinarin(though i know nothing about it myself) i found this link:
http://www.uib.no/People/hnohf/
Maybe it could be of help?
Exactly! That's it! That's what I mean. We'll support each other with helpful links, for one thing. Another could be sending PMs to others in your group, but in the language your trying to learn. Also, going to the chat and starting a room just for your language. Thus, we get a lot of practice! Unfortunately, no one wants to learn latin yet... I had some good links... :( lol

Start working too! You'll never learn if you don't put some effort in on your part. No matter how many links someone gives you, it's you who has to use them. ;)

Yo puedo ayudar a cualquier persona que quiera aprender espanol. Yo lo tuve que aprender de la nada hace 15 anos.

I can help anyone who wants to learn Spanish. I had to learn it from scratch 15 years ago.

(for some reason I can't put accents on the words, or tildes in the forum)

I would like to learn "mrscarrdero's" language of Tagalog (Phillipine) this way I could tell her off in her native language. Also when she is speaking to her stepmother in Tagalog on the phone I don't have to wait to hear for my name anymore to K(NOW) when she is speaking about me.
