Watch this video and then honestly reply (via the poll) with the direction the dancer was spinning. Focus on her feet.

If you saw her spinning counter-clockwise, you are like most people. It means you subconsciously access the logic (left) portion of your brain primarily, and see things that are fact based, organized and detail oriented.

If you saw her spinning clockwise, then you are accessing the imaginative (right) side of your brain, and tend to focus on creativity, the bigger picture and spatial perception.

If you can see her spinning both ways just by changing your focal point (move from her feet to her hips) then you are unique and in the top 10% of the world's population as far as mental prowess.

If you can't consciously change your perception and get her to spin the other way, hold up a finger within your vision and rotate it the opposite direction she is spinning. Watch what happens to her! :D

Regardless of my focal point, she spun clockwise through the whole length of the video. I did not see her spin counterclockwise...which is odd because I'm typically a very logical thinker.

I can see that she changes which way she is spinning, but I am not willing it. I shall investigate further....

That is because you don't control subconscious functions like breathing, heart rate, or initial perception.

Interesting! The first time I watched it she seemed to switch directions a few times. The second time I watched it she seemed to switch directions only twice. Once at about 1.26 and again at 1.52.
The third time I watch it she seemed to switch at .37, .50, 1.07, 1.17, 1.26, 1.35 and 1.43. Each time, but the last time, she seemed to spin right when I resumed motion. The last time she seems to continue to spin to the left after resuming the motion.

I voted both, but my initial response was to perceive a counter-clockwise rotation. It takes more effort for me to see it the other way, but looking at the foot does make it easier for some reason. Very interesting, thanks!

default i see it clock-wise.
But i can change it willingly just when i focus through the dancer. Something like watching through. Like dreaming? Anyways ...

True. Which way is she spinning, though? Is it only one way the whole time?
I don't know, but I think she is spinning the same way always.
The reason why I think I know that is because when I stop motion and then resume motion she starts spinning again as at the start which I see is clock-wise.
