People who are prepared to die for a cause have existed in my culture. The involvement of religion in this is something outside my experience, I don't understand it.

I have no objection to someone's deciding to die for a cause. The Buddhist monastics who burned themselves to death to protest the Vietnam War have my deepest respect.

People like Sheikh Haron, who "are proud to be called terrorists" do not.

I will respect suicide bombers when they learn to make their sacrifice without killing innocent bystanders. I don't think I'll ever learn to respect the wily religious leaders who sit back and encourage other to become suicide bombers.

I have not really been able to get on line lately. I can understand everyones reaction, but have you watched the video. The example used is not omone wearing a bomb and intentionally going to bomb somewhere, the example used is that if somone is flying a plane and they know the plane is carrying a nuclear bomb then its better for the pilot to crash the plane, rather than the plane land in a city and blow up thousands of people. At first I didn't get it but after I actually watched the video a couple of times I then understood. So from what I see this Sheikh is not encouraging suicide bombing he's saying that there is a legitimate suicide bombing.

There is no target. The point is that there is legitimitate suicide bombing, the example is the pilot crashing a plane if it is carrying a bomb. Watch the video it explains the example.

its all very well to set up a theoretical example , but lets face it everyone is talking about suicide Murderers lets not gloss it up in any other name they go out with the intention of killing themselves which is fine by me, but to also intentionaly murder others.

Yes... this video will go a long way in repairing Islam's horrendous image problem.
