I have to say(even if for my own diary) I can hardly believe I am seeing a website with a post from A SATANIST. Lord have mercy. And there from my birthplace -NY. Oh yea, we are definitely in the end times. It's all going to end in about 2 to 3 hundred yrs.

So what if it is from a Santanist, I can guarntee you they are good, loving, caring people. I certianly hope this attitude of yours is a joke, but whatever floats your boat.

Welcome to the Forums!

We're pretty much a community here with all sorts of folks living side by side, getting along with each other most of the time, and for the greater part respecting, valuing -- even loving -- each other even at those moments when they disagree on the best way to approach the Great Folly. At least that's my impression. Hope you enjoy the place.

Well, it's too bad you feel that way. But, if people from different religions getting along and having discussions in a civil manner is offensive to you, there are plenty of "Christian Only" forums you could visit. If talking to people who aren't the same religion as you is upsetting to your sensibilities, then I dare say you won't fit in too well here.
Did you know that we have witches on this forum too? All very sweet people.

Well, its looks like you've already made yourself very popular here. Just a little thought, and I'm not trying to attack you, but anytime you state something that is a personal belief and is not backed up by anything but a spiritual reference book, you might want to throw in something like "I believe that..." Some people get very annoyed when others state opinions as facts, intentional or not.

And by the way, strictly speaking, according to the etymology of the word, a lot of us on here are Satanists, simply being adversaries or opponents to the Christian church. You really shouldn't place so much on a label, but rather through experience with individuals.

These "major issues" that come up to spread the fear that all the athiests, satanists, and liberals are rising up to persecute the Christians in this country are used to raise money. If there are no headline grabbing issues then there is no basis to support these national Christian organizations.

It really is an illusion that Christians are being persecuted since they are the dominant religion in this country by far. So this emphasis on our Christian American heritage is another red herring.

At least that's what I have come to believe.

Talking as a follower of the Beh din (the Good faith) I find this endless carping about Judeo-Christian foundations amusing. All peoples have that of God in them, all humans are enlightened by Ahura Mazda. I would argue that the faith a person follows is unimportant, what is important is compassion, forgiveness, acceptance of the self and of the other.

What this supposedly well educated man fails to realize is the difference between secular authority and the history of faith in America. The Constitution (the highest authority in America) in no way recognizes the supremecy of any faith.

He also holds a flawed conservative belief that symbols hold the same meaning across contexts.
