What percent weren't christians before they landed in prison?
IOW, how many took that role while in prison?
I don't know.
Do you?
Some reasons why inmates become christian/religious while in prison....

"The reasons for insincere religious involvement included: protection, inmate convergence, interaction with women volunteers, and access to prison resources."

How many feign a religion in
hope of appearing rehabilitated?
Does finding God reduce the
probability of recidivism?

No clue. However I did give you a link showing reasons some claim religion in prison, its beneficial.
Claiming religious doesn't make one a christian.

Early parole is the opposite of beneficial
if the recidivism rate of converts is high.

I guess you forgot my post....

That doesn't address recidivism.
Shouldn't protection & access to resources be
granted to non-Christians too...even heatherns?

How would society fare better if Bob was back in 7 years instead of 10? He is still coming back.
Sentences are supposedly given to be a
disincentive that's proportional to the crime.
Why change the ratio just for Christians....or
people who claim to be Christian in exchange
for early release?

Then you sue and win. As did this fellow:
Doesn't necessarily work like that in America, especially when it comes the Evangelicals, who for a long time now have been playing the legal word game to get their religious stuff made into policy (in this case, on defense is its not a religious question because asking if you believe in god rather than anything specific beyond that).
And things have been going backwards.

Yeah, blame the teachings not the followers.
Jesus says to think first of yourself and how you want to be treated in regards to how we should treat others. That's often sighted as the high point of morality in the Bible and it's very short sighted and ill suited in an age when we know people won't all like the same things (like hugs).
And then there's slavery and rampant misogyny and bigotry towards pagans and atheists and apostates (Christians going to jail for attacking someone of these groups occasionally makes the news) and key figures so prone to violence that a so-called prophet got his god to punish kids whobwere calling him baldy, and the punishment was two bears mauling them. Those Southern states claiming slavery as a god given right, according to the Bible they are correct, just as correct as those who beat their kids with the "rod if discipline" and want to call it love.

It appears that you didn't read the
link I provided about religious
affiliation of US inmates.
Try to keep up.
I read your comment...see the bold

I look at Jesus's followers, & see that Jesus
inspires slavery, murder, theft, & all sorts of sins.
The majority of criminals in prison are already
Christian.

The last thing that should be encouraged is
adopting a violent faith.
