Funny, I thought this thread might suddenly appear...........jeffrey said:Life after death. What will you become? An angel? a God? A spirit? something else? How many planes of heaven are there? Do you believe that others who are not of your religion will be there to serve you?
I won't become any thing different from what I am now. I will merely change from a spirit with a body attached, to a spirit only. What will you become?
I haven't really much of a clue about Angels; the temptation is to think that Children who never quite made it through to life are angels. An angel?
A part of God, after the final incarnationa God?
Yep, as already saidA spirit?
Can't think of anything else - apart from a spirit who helps the newly dead; I would love to help, if I could.something else?
Don't know, and that is beyond my ken. Immaterial to me, at this stage. How many planes of heaven are there?
No way!:shoutDo you believe that others who are not of your religion will be there to serve you?
that is such a nice thought Jeff... *smiles*jeffrey said:Very good, Michel. Not suprising, my thoughts are not far off from yours. I think we will not have a physical body, but a spirit body. No race, no color, all equal. No sex, we won't have that carnal desire, but love. Know God's love. Feel his love. Be a part of his love.
All I got from that is you believe in 3 heavens, and some of you will become Gods. The rest of the questions remain unanswered, unless I missed itSoyLeche said:http://scriptures.lds.org/dc/76
Verses 50 - 113 are especially pertinant to the discussion at hand. Also, since this is from the Doctrine and Covenants, it is official LDS cannon.

OK - I think all of your answers are in there, but I'll give the reader's digest version.jeffrey said:All I got from that is you believe in 3 heavens, and some of you will become Gods. The rest of the questions remain unanswered, unless I missed it
I don't know what I'll become...just knowing I'll be with Jesus...face to face is truly enough for me.jeffrey said:Life after death. What will you become? An angel? a God? A spirit? something else? I don't think we'll be serving each other in heaven...I think we'll be serving HIM...God.Maize said:What does that mean exactly?
Quite honestly, I'm not sure. (Maize put it very well- "I have enough in this life to worry about', hehee!)jeffrey said:Life after death. What will you become? An angel? a God? I know... but what does that mean, 'we will be serving God in heaven'?dawny0826 said:I don't think we'll be serving each other in heaven...I think we'll be serving HIM...God.
So Jeff, what do you believe a spirit body is? And what kind of a body do you believe Jesus had when He was resurrected? As He pointed out to His Apostles, who were afraid because they thought they'd seen a spirit, an unembodied spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.jeffrey said:Very good, Michel. Would you give me the thread name and post number, please. Thanks.jeffrey said:As I stated, I believe in a spirit body without flesh and bones. Christ's body was resurrected for a reason, but does not mean that our bodies will too. So, do you disagree with the doctrine that I posted in the other thread that states that angels will serve gods?
