I've been posting on online discussion boards practically since they were invented, and I'm one of the administrators at the Secular Cafe. I learned about this board from my friend Redshirt.

Right now I have to go be sociable with some RL friends, but I look forward to getting to know some of the folks here.

Copernicus! Delighted to see you, man! You know, DMB and I are both admins at the Secular Cafe now; and I still see Jack the Bodiless around the net now and again, and even ax shows up occasionally. It's been a long time since the freethinkersforum days, hasn't it?

I joined up here because although I enjoy the company of fellow skeptics at SC, I also sometimes enjoy a bit of head-to-head with theists of various types, and we have too few at SC. Most believers' boards I've been on treat atheists with some degree of prejudice, but from browsing about here it looks like the ptb at ReligiousForums work hard to keep the playing field level. (As an admin myself, I know how hard that is to do!)

Jobar, that's exactly why I hang out here. It is the best board I have found for free exchanges between believers and nonbelievers of all stripes. I love the people at SC, but it is a bit too incestuous for me. I never enjoyed singing in a chorus, either. I like to see how people challenge my ideas, and this board attracts people from all sides of religious opinion. I love being able to interact with Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc., as well as the various types of Christians.
