Looking at the bright side of Islam

Actually, I try to see the good in Islam. I used to wash my feet and face, wear a kufi, and pray with muslims in a mosque in New York. I like Muslims (that aren't bloodthirsty) and I like some of the Koran and 4 1/2 pillars of Islam. I just loathe sharia law, the atrocities of Muhammad, and the enourmous amounts of bloodshed and jihad in the past 60 years all over the world.

Currently Jihad has been declared against the country I live in and according to Islamic law I should be dead right now. Hence, my obsession with Islam. With more than one sixth of the world being Muslim, and me being outspoken, I assume I will be martyred by Islamic extremists for stating the facts about Muhammad. He was a mass murderer. Pure and simple historical fact that im willing to die declaring.

One sixth of the world speaks about an adolf hitler figure (who flies a different banner and policies) as if he was an amazing role model and prophet of God and pardon me for recognizing the threat.

One sixth of the world has not declared jihad on you nor the country you live in. Nor is there one true interpretation of Islamic law.
How kind of you to like the "non bloodthirsty Muslims." I like Catholics*, (that aren't jackasses). You say you "Try to see the good in Islam and then complain about everything you hate and compare Mohammad to Hitler. Gee, I wonder why some people might have a problem with your posts?

For the record, if you think you're going to be martyred, you're going to be disappointed. Worst martyr ever: St. "That guy who was posting on the internet about how much he hated Islam all the time." Patron saint of Internet Trolls?

*Replace "Catholic" with whatever you're identifying as now.

Im not a good Catholic but I do see a lot of good that the magisterium of the Church is teaching and what people in the church ardoing, and enjoy sharing that with others.

Yes there are many negative things about me. My negative qualities are not hidden and it is good for me when you are so stern! It does a patient well when you point out their cancer. Thank you! :)

So don't claim you're actually trying to see good when you're looking for another way to complain and make exaggerated alarmist statements implying billions of people want to kill you.

Actually there are beautiful passages in the Koran and I am edified by the ways that Muslims are called to discipline themselves, fast, and worship one God.

Im not implying billions want to kill me, but more than a billion people hold a criminal in very high esteem. And his policies (sharia) are destroying people.

He was an orphan who never knew his father and his mother died when he was six. I pity the poor guy. I just wish he didn't have such an enormous following that on some occassions will kill those who criticize or mock him.

Jesus was an executed criminal. Do you not see the irony in your statements? That's all the word "criminal" means - someone who committed a crime, broke a law and was convicted of it. (See also Sts. Peter and Paul.) There are Catholic saints who killed people, many people. There were prophets and fathers of the church in the Old Testament who killed many many people, innocent people. You give them every loophole in the world, but that Mo, he was a bad dude :(

And no you stated you anticipated you were going to be martyred and brought Godwin's Law into play. That isn't "I just wish he didn't have a large following" and that isn't "loving" anything or anyone, except perhaps yourself.

Yes! Criminal is subjective. I said the lord's name in vain so i am a criminal. You drive to fast, you are a criminal.

I find loop holes for Catholic Saints? Nonsense!
Actually, there are many Catholic saints who say things that I find despicable. omg!

St. Louis Demontfort was once my favorite writer and he says some beautiful things but also some of the most retarded things I have ever read. Saints were great sinners and broken people with all the temptations and weaknesses that the average human being has.

It's actually fairly objective, you are convicted of breaking the law, you're a criminal. So why make a point of calling Muhammad a criminal.

You specifically have given the Old Testament a pass in your posts.

Also please don't call things "retarded". Besides being an immature turn of phrase it's rude to use it as a slur much as calling something stupid "gay" is rude.

Okay,

I apologize for saying that offensive word and will not use it again.

I need to listen more and be less abrasive. Thank you. When I called Muhammad a Criminal I was speaking of crimes against humanity. However, I am a Criminal and I am no better than Muhammad.

Im glad I have no following.

Sorry for my rude speech :(

"When the wife of Imran said:
'O my Lord! I have vowed to You what is in my womb [my child] to be dedicated to Your services, so accept this [my vow] from me. Verily, All-Hearer, the All-Knowing.' Then we she delivered her she said:

'O my Lord! I have delivered a female child' - and Allah knew better what she delivered - 'And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Maryam and I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from Satan, the outcast.' " (Quran 3:35-36)

"So her Lord accepted her [Maryam] with good acceptance." (Quran 3:37).

  • "So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place . And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said:

'Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!' Then a call unto her from bellow, said:

'Grieve not! Your Lord has provided a water stream under you; And shake the trunk of the date-palm towards you, it will let fall fresh ripe dates upon you. So eat and drink and be glad, and if you see any human being, say:

'Verily! I have vowed a fast unto the Most Beneficent so I shall not speak to any human being this day.' " (Quran 19:22-26)

    • "Then she brought him (the baby) to her people, carrying him. They said:

'O Maryam! Indeed you have brought a thing which is greatly evil! O sister of Haron (i.e. O you who we consider the like of Haron, who was a pious man at the time of Mary)! Your father was not a bad man (adulterous), nor was your mother an unchaste woman.' Then she pointed to him (to the baby). They said:

'How can we talk to one who is a child, in the cradle?' " (Quran 19:27-29)
There is much more about Mary in the Koran than in the Bible
Mary in the Quran

Not quite as troubling as more than a billion people in the world in love with the serial killer that founded their Religion
Ah ha........... so you didn't want to look at the bright side of Islam after all....?

I'll tell you a bright side to Islam.
During the 39-45 War my father fought in, retreated from and returned to.... Burma. His comrades in arms were mostly Muslims. He never forgot their valour and gallantry, and their conduct in every situation brought their religion and their prophet's guidance into good repute in his opinion. Over those years he learned to speak their language better than the basic Urdu that he had initially been taught, and he came to hold them in highest regard.
After the Burma campaigns he loved three nationalities especially. Pakistan (Indian at that time) Muslims, Texans and Nepals.
