Biden set himself up. You can't deny something is very fishy with all of this and people found out.
So did Trump when he screwed over a US ally.
The differences are that Trump took an oath of office before screwing the U.S. And is a sitting president and has been obstructing the inquiries into the corruption. And appears to be running for office this year, which Hunter is not.

If Hunter Biden runs for high office, I'd fully expect his private doings to be investigated. Why don't you think Trump's should?

Why do Trump supporters want so desperately to change the subject from The President to some guy hired by the Ukrainians?
Good question. But for them it's always been about someone else than Trump. It's not Trump it's Hillary, or Comey, or Hillary again, or Biden, or still Hillary because they won't let her go. And if they have no else to point attention to then it's just a no biggie. Or stuff will just be flat out made up lies like saying Comey's report exonerated Trump when clearly it didn't. Trump may not be a cult leader in the typical or usual sense of the term, but he's certainly started one.

How does Biden, who holds no office and is only one of multiple candidates, somehow represent an entire "side"? Why would the dems collectively go to great lengths to "cover up" whatever it is he's accused of?

Every time I hear the phrase "Loose lips sink ships," I'm reminded of this hilarious scene with Flip Wilson as a preacher:

Do you think that everybody on the board of McDonald's has experience flipping burgers?
Do you think that they eat the crap MickyDs sells?

Does this mean it's suspicious?

It is if the proposed member of the BoD at a HUGE paycheck has never flipped a burger in his life, is a vegan and who's daddy is the head of the department in charge of fast food chains.

Get real, columbus.

How much experience at political leadership did Trump have when he got the position POTUS? Any? As far as I know all he was good at was screwing over people like his investors, ex-wives, contractors and such. And lying to people in the media.

Sounds like the same sort of experience every other candidate for POTUS has. Oh, and he was elected.

Why do Trump supporters want so desperately to change the subject from The President to some guy hired by the Ukrainians?

Because it's the point. This whole thing is a hypocritical attempt simply to reverse an election. Trump did NOTHING wrong; nothing that every other president has ever done....and what he did was to ask Ukraine for help in investigating corruption in THEIR corporate infrastructure, that happened to involve Hunter Biden, who got his job (in which he was very much in 'corruption mode') because he was the son of the American Vice President. The Dems are all up in arms about that...but they are JUST FINE with the suspect in this case (Biden) for being corrupt, and bragging about using US aid to make Ukraine do what he wanted them to do. He was downright gleeful about it.

What this IS, is a corrupt kangaroo court in which the mob is trying the good guy for daring to ask for help in dealing with the corruption in the court that is trying to hang him.

So Biden is very, very pertinent to this.

The drama intensifies....

Joni Ernst just said the quiet part out loud about the Senate impeachment trial - CNNPolitics

"Iowa caucuses are this next Monday evening. And I'm really interested to see how this discussion today informs and influences the Iowa caucus voters, those Democratic caucus goers. Will they be supporting VP Biden at this point?"

I guess it shouldn't be hard to speculate that this is really what it's all about.
Isn't it ironic when the DNC is on Trumps side and the Trumpists are on Bernie's side?

While the questions are ignored.

The reasons for that aren't hard to understand for those of us less partisan and more patriotic than you.
Tom
Dear Sir;
I suggest you be very very very careful when you accuse someone of not being patriotic or less patriotic than you. I gave 21 years of military service to this country, so I am only going to tell you this one time, BACK OFF.

So you aren't patriotic. Being in the military and being patriotic are mutually exclusive.

Give it a rest, dude.
Handwaving away potentially treasonous behavior ( shady business dealings and collaboration and abusing power for political gain and obstruction of inquiries) from our sitting POTUS, while focusing on a private citizen who isn't running for office, isn't patriotic.
It's raw partisanship to the detriment of the USA.

So, explain to me why you think Hunter's dealings with Ukrainians is more important than Trump's dealings and his obstruction into inquiries about them?
Tom
I have more important things to do than to argue with you. You see it one way I see it another way and we will never agree so I'm done with it.

It is my understanding that the term "snowflake" is viewed dimly by the RF staff, so I won't use it.
Of course.

Don't bother answering the question if it makes you feel uncomfortable. I already know why Trump supporters find this story such welcome relief from Trump's corruption and lies.
Tom
I'll agree with you if Burger flippers are being paid $50,000 a month starting pay.
