Another thing is that there are infinite types of Salvation. What salvation means to all of us may be different types of Salvation. Most of us, just want to be freed from this material world and free from Karma and Reincarnation. Some of us want to go to heaven, some want to be Demi-Gods, some want personal relationships with God, some want to merge into Brahman, and some just want only to be engaged in service to God. All of these types of Salvation are attainable. Which one you hanker for will ultimately be the one you attain. Of course this depends on Karma though.... Obviously some cant attain this because of huge amounts of bad Karma, but the relieving thing is that Karma is burned off life after life and you have infinite chances to clean up your act/life. hehe :)

The ultimate reality through its own power evolved many forms trees,snakes,beasts and insects,along with birds and fish.But the human body is the ultimate creation,for within the heart of the human form is the yearning to know its own true nature and its connection to the surpreme Godhead lord krsna.Thus the wise having attained a human body after myriad births and deaths,seek to know the self.No matter how frail that body may be it is still the means to attaining that final liberation from bondage in this materal world and releasing the terrible gunas from self.:)

Tell us something about yourself, Moses. You appear to be Hindu, Bhakti and a Krsna devotee, but you post your religion as "Godbody."
You also post your location as New Jersey, but I get the Impression this is not where you were born and raised.
I, myself am jnani rather than bhakti, and a devotee of no personification. My religious tradition is Saivite rather than Vaisnavite.

I almost joined ISKCON in the 1970's. Almost. (I decided to leave the morning we were to take a bus to California.)

I got the brahamjyoti idea right off the bat. As one progresses, one realizes its validity. There is very much I like in Vaisnava thought. For my young mind, Krsna opened to doors to understanding. It all just "fit". The reason I did not accept the role of sannyassi is because I had a deep seated feeling that this was not what I was "supposed" to do. In my young mind, I felt Lord Krsna, had other plans for this mortal. And so it is.

The look in those eyes...........................


Side note: The Bhaktvedanta Book Trust was the first to respond to my request to use their artwork in my autobiography. I now have the legal right to use two images that fit my story well. One is a sprawling image of Vishu seated on Sesanaga, the other is the cover of the Srimad Bhagavatam, Canto One, Volume One. I was pretty thrilled. :)

I'm sorry to interrupt (i'll delete this post in a day or to in the interest of continuity) but i was wondering if anyone could recommend some reading (preferably online) for overview hindu, janist, etc. material, concepts and history. I'm just having a miserable time with what's on wikkapedia.

Sorry Mr. Guy, I have never looked online for this sort of stuff. If I see anything though, I will let you know if you like.

This site might be usefull. This is not a ISKON or Hare Krsna projected hinduism but one that is being followed by the millions in India. http://www.atributetohinduism.com/index_old.htm which is very current and tries to explain some of the misconceptions that surrounds the religion. A brief explanation is provided.

Do you have a guru, for that is what i'm searching for to bring me closer to krsna in this lifetime

When I was younger, I was in a similar predicament. I sensed so much but practically yearned for a Guru to follow. I felt that would answer all of my questions. However, what one learns fairly rapidly is that one does indeed have Guides already.

It is a far better use of our limited time here to consult our existing guides and not to get too hung up on the fact that there is no one here on Earth worthy of guiding us. You already love Krsna. What else do you really need?

Yes this is true i do love krsna, but a spirtual teacher would help me to understand some things that i'm still trying grasp, and open closed doors.;)
